but if he's not signed - he's not signed. Which means we should all be that little bit anxious. Something happens at Man U and they can pull the plug on the deal and we still need 2 goalies and have 3 weeks to get them in the door

Do you really think Wilder hasn't considered this?

A man who has won 2 promotions in 3 years and has many years experience as a manager is going to have all bases covered, I don't think he'll look at this forum and think 'you know what if only I'd thought of that'.
 
If Henderson doesn't sign, then don't we just go out and borrow Blackman? At the moment he's 3rd choice at Chelsea and they have a few other young lads who can fulfill that role.

he did decent enough. Unlucky to be injured. Same would apply as to Hendo that a season on loan at top level would not hurt him.

I wouldn't say he let us down at all apart from maybe away at Brentford.

Think Blackman would be a backward step.

Has Adrian, the former WHU keeper, gone elsewhere yet? He'd be on my list of potential backups.

If we are only allowed to post on here things we think wilder hasn't thought of then the forum might as well shut down.

I'm not posting advice to wilder. What I am staying, is that if the deal is done then it might as well be announced.

My concern is that as it hasn't been announced then perhaps it isn't really complete and therefore all the posts on here stating that it's done are not 100% accurate.

Last-minute hitch leaves us with 1senior goalie and that makes me anxious.

If you really want to dig into someone have a look at dozens of grown men begging for info on the movement thread:)

Im not digging into anyone. It’s not my job to say what is and what isn’t ‘allowed’ and I don’t attempt to.

All your post is saying is that you’re anxious and we should be too. I’m not. I’m confident Wilder has got this covered.

And I agree about all the posts begging RC for info.

Our transfer business is about signing players for the benefit of the club, not providing talking points for bored posters during the close season.
 
Hendo will arrive as soon as De Gea signs his inflated new weekly contract. i.e. when De Gea gets back from touring with MU.

All the negotiations have probably been done in emojis on WhatsApp, so I'd imagine that will have slowed things down a lot as well. 💰💰💰💰✅

This puts to bed rumours wilder would be happy letting hendo rock up ten minutes before the first game.

The deal - Clearly - wasn’t progressing at the required speed.

Set a deadline of Monday to get it done and then move on imo. There’s plenty of options we could have for a first choice keeper to arrive permanently.
 
Before people jump on this isn't a dig at United.

However almost every deal this summer seems to have been overly protracted.

Is this just because we're now PL?
 
I imagine things would have gone quickly on all fronts if we'd have splashed like Villa have - i reckon we're being more prudent with our cash to get the most out of it........
