I wasn't treating anyone like a simpleton thanks. I was just interested to know why that doesn't seem to be a possibility for this guy? Maybe in some industries it's not so common? I don't know? I do know that even in the industry I mainly work in, in some companies it's still not very well accepted to work remotely - they think their employees will be skiving off or something. The reality is that folks who work from home often do longer hours than they do in the office, because the work is always there.

If you were actually curious you might have worded your first line as a question such as ‘why is that?’ rather than ‘Are you really that tied in Londonblade89? It sounds like you are, but...’ because that implies that he’s wrong, the use of ‘but’ is contradictory.

Your post may have been well intentioned but it came across as patronising. Perhaps you’d feel the same if posters started telling you you’re wrong about your own life.

The bigger the fee, the more the agent gets obviously. So they are going to try and squeeze every last drop of value out of it. For all we know know Maupay may have given a definite "yes" to coming here, but the agent is hanging out to see if he can get a better deal elsewhere. At some point this is going to change. I hope it's soon! Because whether he's coming here or not I think we'd all like to know and move on.
