Again, do due diligence before making incorrect accusations.

I haven't accused you of being ITK.
Sorry, my mistake, it was 'BrownieBlade' whom accused me of that (post #4031).

You were the one who patronised me (post #4071), when I've tried to avoid getting personal throughout.

Equally the queue of clubs willing to pay £20m is conspicuous by its absence is it not?
Exactly.

Assuming £20m is the fee, then that's gotta be a major reason why he hasn't gone anywhere yet.

If you were that ambitious wouldn’t you have demonstrated it with your new ground? The thing you are building is hardly a PL venue is it?
Out of deference to BillyBlade (and doubtless numerous others), I shall leave you to continue to bathe in total, if blissful, ignorance of the myriad reasons why the new stadium will only hold 17.5k.

But I can assure you, it will be entirely fit for PL football.

Oh, and Premier League rugby, too:

WRONG!

Not me on #4071, you'll have to try a lot harder if you want to discover a post you describe. Don't you do any research when you incorrectly attribute a comment to a poster they aren't the author of? I'll happily say, "Guilty yer Honor" if I had said what you claim, but your accusations give weight to the thought that alongside your fellow Bees you just waffle for the sake of waffling, and bugger whether it's actually true!

WRONG!

Not me on #4071,
Doh!

I should have said #4051 (fat fingers?), namely:
"I can understand that as a novice to this forum you won't be familiar with the protocols, or behaviour patterns, of regular posters.

Many of us are far too busy to devote time to the posts of other Blades, so considering that you and other Brentford posters are what might politely be called interlopers, you'll forgive us for not prioritising you as vital or important. In context, the words and 'wisdom' of most Bees (of course there's the occasional post from a Brentford supporter that contains worth) quickly become the Forum equivalent of fish and chip paper. Surely you can put your egos to one side and understand this?"

Hold on they’re building a new stadium for £70m and it only gives them an extra 5,000 tickets?! That’s £14,000 per extra seat. Fooking hell I’ve seen better value prices on t’Main Stand at Swillsborough.

Doh!

That wasn't patronising. It was basic common sense. Are all Brentford fans pretentious, arrogant knobbers or have you just sent the worst examples over as a kind of expedition party?

Absolute bollox as usual this thread started 7 months ago “we haven’t submitted an official bid”😀😀😀market value 🤣has he been agitating for 7 months ?
Nearly as funny as 10,000 Bees rattling around in a plastic stadium designed for 20,000. You are the equivalent of Reading with less history.

Ah, at least, the supposedly offending post.

What sort of environment do you Bees exist in if you can't differentiate between a brusque reply and what you call 'patronising'? There's nothing in that post that isn't correct or relevant. The fact that it was short, in fact absent, on niceties isn't relevant. I can't recall you or your fellow Bees being too concerned about the content of your posts. If you're too touchy or oversensitive only you are responsible for that condition, but it doesn't lessen anything contained within the post. I mean, get a grip, after all it's a difference of opinion on a football forum, not something world changing or likely to cause an earth shattering event, is it?

Maybe they're selling Griffin Park for £500m?

Er, no.

We can't take the existing 10k seats at GP (plus 1,500 standing places) with us to the new stadium.

Indeed, we can't do anything with GP - we've only been given dispensation to go on playing there because we're building a new stadium.

So if it is £70m (and I think it's more than that), then it works out at just over £4k per seat, all told.

Which is before you subtract the rent we will get from London Irish RFC.

And before you consider Griffin Park is currently valued at £35m - money which couldn't be accessed if we weren't moving out.

And without going deeper into the ins-and-outs of the West London property market, you might want to consider this.

Planning [permission and development funding for the new stadium was only secured because the site will also hold 900 flats (plus a hotel).

And currently, you can't get even a 1 bedroom flat in the area for less than £500k.

You might want to get your calculator out again. ;)

That is SO interesting. Tell me more about Brentford PLC.

Hope you're proud of yourself now Nick Jansky

No. It's free.

My God, I'd be more than happy us stopping trying to sign him now if it meant all these shit wasps would piss off.

Makes you wonder about fans who lord it how they mugged a club out of 3 mill for an average central defender then see a striker they let go for 1.5 million get sold for 16 million after scoring more goals last season than the player they would like but can’t afford. Then to top it all they sell a central defender for 1.5 million who is now going to be sold for over 60 mill.Great business 😃

Oh well. This 170 mil for being in the Premier League will have to do I suppose.

And yet here we are, about to start a Premier League campaign after being in L1 only 3 years ago. Meanwhile, down Brentford way, the business model of champions continues to bring mid table success to the happy bees.

Well I feel humbled right now to be in the presence of our lower league overlords.

And for all your great business and superstar players, you're as high as you've ever been....

Mid table on the championship.

Well done Sir.

From today's London Evening Standard:
"There is yet to be a concrete bid for the Frenchman... ...Brentford are under no financial pressure to sell the striker, and want him to stay, meaning they can demand a fee of around £20million."
https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...return-transfer-saga-rumbles-on-a4190676.html

Of course, the Standard is hardly gospel, but still, it hardly chimes what you've "heard".

I didn’t hear any chimes mate. Well...I tell a lie, I heard the doorbell chime about half past three today, but that was just DPD delivering a parcel for my missus from “Ann Summers”. It’s a health food company, (so my wife tells me) and it looked like she’d ordered a giant cucumber! Silly sod! I bet I can get them cheaper in Aldi😜 women eh?🤣

Heyup sithee! There’s no need to get uppity with me thanuz! I’m not knocking Brentford, even though I can’t rid my mind of you being a perennial 3rd division team. You’ve had some fine players down the years: Bobby Campbell. Cec Pod. Stuart McCall. Err, oh no, that was Bradford wasn’t it?

Oh yes...Clayton Donaldson. He were good once.

Methinks you are getting confused between smoke and fire anyhow.

Now... by all means let’s have some friendly banter, even a @heated debate”. but promise me you’ll speak to me in plain English and not use all this fuckin southern “chiming” shit - and I’ll try and reply in normal English too!😀

Bill, Bill, calm down and consider what you're saying......it's always someone else who benefits from the sale of players you sell. Surely that can't be a good thing?

Or do you somehow get a buzz from knowing that the player you sold for £1.5 mil or £5 mil is worth far more now that they've been at a larger club where they've improved? Is that the logic that keeps you going Bill?
