I totally get that but if we only pay the going rate for strikers we are going to be left with Sharp and Didzy upfront all season. Some risks are worth taking, missed a lot of chances and still scored 28 goals, some good coaching and playing alongside Billy we could be absolutely laughing. Good players in the past had to have risks taken on them, I see this as a worthwhile risk

It's been repeated on here a few times. We don't need to or want to sell Maupay. You can hypothesis as much as you like about finances but that is the truth. We are currently spending the £16m for Mepham and the £7m for Woods that we got in January.

You labour under the misapprehension that if something is repeated often enough it becomes a self-fulfilling truth.

You can hypothesize, fucking hypothesize, as much as you like about not needing or wanting to sell.

There are other characters in this script, Maups and his leech. When a player has the chance of a move from a little club to the Premier League there’s only one outcome. You’ll get about £15m plus add-ons and even that is crazy money. That’s football.
