Odds have gone down dramatically, pretty insignificant in my opinion although this is typical of premiership fans...

Well can’t remember Rafa winning the LMA Manager of the season award.

Every time a basket case club loses its manager we have this. Think Chris deserves a bit more credit really. I wonder why any manager worth his salt would work for that nutter Ashley!!

I saw a couple of comments on a news site when Benitez announced he was going to China that made me laugh.

Comment 1: "Don't think Benitez knows what's he's let himself in for. He'll find nothing but theft, corruption and exploitation in China"

Comment 2: "He should be fine. That sounds just like Sports Direct"

Huawei the lads

If they offer him double his wages he would go...as would all managers if it meant a massive pay rise ...that's the nature of the beast

That being said Newcastle won't take that chance ..they will go for another expensive safe pair of hands ....or get Mark Fkin Hughes and he takes them down 😜😜

Apparently being linked with Steve Gerrard (Newcastle that is, not Wilder...)

Can't see a big club risking taking on a decent ex-player as manager. Unless it's Chelsea.

I know that money has its draw but CW said when he came to the club that it wasn’t all about money. With CWAK I really don’t think it is. There again......maybe I am naive.

He was the best manager in all the leagues last season. You’d be stupid not to be interested.

Absolutely no chance wilder is leaving United this season. The chance to manage your boyhood club in the Prem after all the hard work he’s done over the last 3 years.

Next season maybe a different story but certainly isn’t going anywhere this year

Don’t be to sure, BRP and McSue are every bit as incompetent of running a football club as Ashley. Big difference is he’s got Wonga, they’ve got nowt.

You think he would walk out on what will be his biggest year in football management to take a job with so much Wonga that literally every big manager out there wouldn’t touch ?? Otherwise why are Stevie G and Chris favourites ??

I personally think for what it’s worth that even if he was willing to leave etc he wouldn’t risk it to move somewhere he could be sacked by Xmas for not challenging or even find himself unwanted by a new owner come Xmas

Big difference is that Wilder’s a Blade.

Doesn't matter how shit an owner Mike Ashley is, Newcastle are a club that flit between the top two divisions and probably pay the manager about £50k a week and that would attract some managers.
Just lucky that Wilder has an emotional attachment to United.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has approached Rangers manager and former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard about becoming the Magpies' next boss. (Mirror)

Much more likely I would have thought 25/1 with Coral ;)

If he gets a deal like the 7year one whatshisface got and they have to pay him up even if they sack him would you take £X million for 5 months work. Anyone could be tempted, don’t think he will but he could be tempted. And like players it might turn his head or Knillys head and disrupt the harmony we currently are enjoying. It’s the BladeyMcBladesface anything’s possible syndrome to feck me off.
