Shame we're not having one at home, as high profile as Lille away is, because a lot of people are going to have a hard time seeing United in the flesh this season.

One less cup game too.

Indeed

The lane just isn't ready

Frantically searching the cheapest way to get to Lille that weekend.

Maybe take a leaf out of your screen names book and make some super spicy goat vindaloos the last week in July, get it out a bit earlier 😂

"No way are you going anywhere while we've got a 2 week old" (if it is 2 weeks old. Could be more, could be less).

She wasn't that fussed to start with until I said 'United have got a game over there'. That's the stickler. These Wednesday bastards are hurting.

Back of a lorry, pretty sure they don't search them going out.
Then after the game buy a case of Peroni and walk up to the team bus and say your coach left without you, room for a small one.

My Mrs is letting me go to Portugal while she stays at home with our 12 week old, if he/she was a little bit older you might have got away with it :D

I'll have some serious making up to do, mind!

The Carrier Bag Firm were on a pre season in Sweden. We (I) misread the train timetable back to Stockholm - the train we'd earmarked didn't run on Saturday, which it was. So we were stranded wherever we were. We bundled into the only hotel in town of the one horse (the team were staying there) & booked some rooms. Andy Barnsley was asked to ask Bassett whether we could jump on the team bus the next morning. The great man agreed. So, Andy B knocked on our doors the next morning & we duly jumped on the bus with the team to the next game on the Sunday afts. So, it does (did) happen. The CBF are full of stories like this. Like the time the team wanted to fight us in the car park of a game in Germany. It's all going to be in The Book....
