At Leicester, I was down the side, and remarkably I did not go on the pitch until the 4th goal went in.
Please. Keep. Off. The. Pitch.
(Look out for our No. 5 at 21:44 on the full video. Bloody hooligan.)

Another one that was in the upper stand that day. I don’t remember much kicking off until Leicester scored, when about half a dozen of their supporters in front of us jumped up and started to celebrate, only to look around and see that they were pretty much on their own. They didn’t hang around too much longer!I was in upper stand behind the net too Graf , it definitely kicked off ! I think they were surprised just how many Blades were in there

Back in the day when all that naughtiness was all the rage
Our crew and Leicester’s used to get on quite well
One of our lads did time with some of there’s and a “ friendship ? “ developed with some of ours going down there for weekends and some of there’s coming up to Sheffield
All stopped though when one of ours tried
“ taxing “ one of there lads for his leather jacket![]()
Surely it was more than 8 years!!!It shows how quickly time passes by as you get older, the gap between Darlington and Leicester seemed like an eternity.
8 years seems to pass in the blink of an eye nowadays
I was with all the other fancy dresses , no not Lacoste, Ellesa, or Pringle’s , and a piss up had been organized in Attercliffe , I’m saying nothing else , I’ll just leave that thought for you regarding my fancy dress
I was on the side too and charged onto the pitch after the second goal and got separated from my mates. Luckily we met up again soon after just inside the penalty area after Agana scored the 3rdAt Leicester, I was down the side, and remarkably I did not go on the pitch until the 4th goal went in.
The lad I’m on about who was inside , lived in Killamarsh, not “ Bunny “ btwI think it was more to do with some of the Leicester lot becoming quite friendly with some of our dearly beloved neighbours .
Edit : the ' taxing ' of the coat was from a prostate member of their lot outside Midland Station if memory serves me right .
I was in the limit that night , trying it on with an old girlfriend of mine who wasn’t having it , pity cause she lived on Park hill , and I was out in Mosboro so had to make it all the fucking way out there , off my trolley so not surprised no taxi stopped for meI went up in a van that left straight after the Limit, many were in fancy dress, weed and lines of speed in the van, carnage at Darlington, lots of gorillas, people throwing up on the way home, what a state we were in when we reached that pub in Attercliffe, a spread had been laid on but most people got straight into the beer. I can honestly say I have never been on an away trip with so many people off their trolleys.

And the lad doing the taxing had a nickname starting with D , who’s now sadly no longing with us
Darlington Was my first game watching the blades away, although was more like home game on 9 miles down road to boro
Leicester was my first away - didn't go on the pitch as the bird I took wouldn't approve, and she still wouldn't approve as were still together and married with grown up kids..
The famous aways at the sty push it close, but even the pics from Darlington seem to show something real special.. God I wished I'd been there, on my own
Oh, as mentioned earlier time does indeed fly..
I was feeling nostalgic and dug up this fossil from YouTube... Division 3, Wolves v Blades 9th May 1989. It ended 2-2 and that point was enough for us to clinch promotion to Division 2 on goal difference (over Port Vale?) - see the Blades players celebrate when the ref blows for full time. Wolves were celebrating too as they won the division. Packed away end, inflatable swords, great atmosphere, great memories!
Season before Leicester we were at Wolfs. 2-2 draw took both teams up.
Just found this in the S2 archives.
Not remembered as 82 and 90, but it was still that promotion euphoria.
Had to go to Bristol last match. That was feckin awful.
It's all been posted on here before. But the Wolfs match deserves a like or two.
However the referee had merely blown for a foul, so the 3 had to scarper pretty quickly back onto the field of play
It was good to see the corner kick routine featuring Pikey work for the first goal.I think Martin Pike had chucked his boots in the crowd and played the last minute in his socks.
Went on the coach to that and got applauded home by Wolves fans waiting at bus stops. Just after Hillsborough and most fans were stunned. It seemed like footy violence might stop permanently.
Hmmmm.....

I was at Hereford if it was that freezing night match , I'm sure it snowed towards the end but they just played on !Bust my arm at Darlington, failing down on the pitch pissed up,last ten mins sat to the left of the goal on the pitch.Got a paring ticket at Chesterfield Royal because I didn't realise I'd be in fracture clinic for so long.
Remember seeing a tranny van with Edwards boots been shown to everyone on the A1.Missed one match in Div 4 Arsenal away, didn't see many at Hereford midweek.?
Aldershot what a ground.! Northampton was good as well.Herman getting glassed in Hartlepool.
Went to Leicester with the Woodhouse buses via Melton if memory serves me.
Happy days and had hair back then.
Dont get to many now but my lad does.
Utb
It was Roberts - Agana- Roberts- Stancliffe
At the Norwich FA Cup, it was Pike-Agana- Pike (hard cross) that just missed Booker's head. It was the first time I saw this corner routineOf course it was, after TAs back slide pass, Pikey wouldn't have been able to cross it with his right foot, it had to be someone with a right foot.
Silly me
I loved watching Pikey, he always played with a smile on his face.At the Norwich FA Cup, it was Pike-Agana- Pike (hard cross) that just missed Booker's head. It was the first time I saw this corner routine

Did he score away at Notts County, in the same match that Deano got sent off?
