Revised to £32m* now after taking into account possible extra income which was likely to happen when the £20m claim was made.

*plus Baldock fee

Nor sure if serious.

Hi Neal (Maupay) we've spent our budget but will you come to us if Adams goes to Spton and Brooks to the Mancs? Just wait there in case?

Great plan:rolleyes:

I don't know what happened there Lazarus, my copy and paste is usually better than that. I'll blame it on semi-heat stroke due to excessive temperatures in Hollywood last week mate.

Have you been in Hollywood, California, sipping cold beer under the American skies, as 59 Chevvies and 67 Plymouths cruised by.
Taking in the American hospitality whilst reading On The Road and Big Sur, bumping into Benicio del Toro and discussing life with Penelope Cruz?

I wouldn't have known.

Someone posted it. Yesterday I think. Might have been you.

The budget of what? The one that’s merely an opinion of yours that you’re now saying we’d spend on one player and then it would be gone? Does that include any sell on monies you’ve just remembered about?

There’s some interpretation on my part by the way because of the possible typing errors.

'Some interpretation' as ever.

Never mind resort to spellings.

Blanche next move?

I know it’s only one photo but imo this is a step in the right direction for the club (especially after all the rumour and innuendo about WBA etc.)

If the prince acknowledges the ‘great CW’ and they are having chats re targets etc then this can only be a good thing.

Now for some movement on recruitment.

As ever, ignoring the point.

There’s a ten minute edit function available. Can stop people looking daft. Often a good idea to look at one’s posts in the preview facility as well. Remembering what you’ve previously posted helps also.

Are you reporting me again before or after your latest call to arms has been typed up and sent to the Star with a nice photo?

Read "On the Road" back in the early 80's, can hardly remember it now,

As for Big Sur.......used to love this

Sorry. Being a bit naughty. On another thread some of us speculated (and possibly hoped) that the old Midland Bank pitches could have been redeveloped having been left unused and derelict for years.

The HSBC complex is till I'm regular use and has loads of pristine pitches. I know because I get stuck in the traffic coming out of it a couple of times a week when picking my youngest up from nursery.

However, it would be an amazing training complex, but maybe a little chilly in the winter months!

It's the one above that that is derelict. Am sure it was originally where Midland Bank played their games in the 80's.

If Chris Wilder has the ambition to reach the top of the football management tree,he will have to be able to deal with much more savvy, wealthy and demanding owners than McCabe and Prince Abdulla. In truth, dealing with the Chuckle brothers shouldn't present too much of a problem for Chris,he is in a very strong position and without him the owner, whoever it is,would be in real trouble.

Should his Twitter account not be @SAUDI UTB.
Rather than @Saudi49er

It’s a fantastic complex they’ve got up there, I used to play there late 80’s early 90’s and the football pitches and cricket square we’re always immaculate. They used to have a full time groundsman living on site - don’t know if that’s still the case.

It was cold in winter though, 5 a side played on the tennis courts was regularly frozen off. Decent bar compensated 😀

Spoke to Gerry Francis this morning and Chris will be doing terror Tuesday from now until the season starts.
