I fancy a trip to Monchengladbach as Terry from The Likely Lads was stationed there in the army and he made it sound really nice.
Or what about Bochum seeing as we already have their Parkway.

I have unfinished business in Bochum, he said darkly!

I can understand naming a road Donetsk Parkway. Both cities have a River Don. But why do we have a Bochum Parkway?

Apparently we've been twinned with them since 50's due to both our industrial heritages. They have a "Sheffield Ring" there.

We lost 5-2 and I was fooled by certain people into learning a chat up line parrot fashion that actually translated as being, "I have come in a collapsible canoe". I'd like to meet them again with an axe.
Sounds like a Monty Python sketch. “My hovercraft is full of eels, bouncy bouncy”.

I remember listening to Radio Sheffield at the time Bochum Parkway was named, they were asking members of the public what they thought of the idea. One bloke responded by saying that he’d been to Bochum several years previously but at the time he was 20 thousand feet up and flying in a Lancaster Bomber.

Bochum has a decent party street, but very industrial and now concretey. Blame the Grandads.. not far from Schalke, BVB, Fortuna, Monchen etc. No decent beer culture of its own ie no Kolsch or Alt etc. About 3-4 hours train from Brussels from memory and easy route.

Didn’t see the Sheffield ring, but then those days are long gone, as our lass keeps reminding me...

Bochum or Moechengladbach would be great. The former is a bit of a British style ground and the latter has a fantastic reputation in terms of atmosphere. Just hope the ultras turnout for them and then we’ll be in for a treat noise wise.
