PSG owners looking to buy Championship club

But that's like saying 'I'm not going to move house - ever - in case I get nutjob neighbours, plans for a gyppo camp out the back and a twat next door who plays loud music all night.'

It’s not really, if I were moving house I’d research the neighbourhood and make sure it’s not going to be a problem to me. If we want a new owner we can do the same, just don’t allow a despot to buy us. The PSG owners (not that they’d be interested) would be a nightmare.

The problem is most of the owners of football clubs over the past 10-15 years have shown sociopathic traits so I don’t hold out much hope!

Its the way of football these days and of course we almost became one of the first to be foreign-owned back in 1990 with Sam Hashimi! I am more than happy with McCabe and under McCabe we've always done well when we've had a good manager, in spite of not been the biggest spenders. It would be very annoying if they do buy a Championship club if we stay down though because that could well be another promotion spot taken if they do succeed.

Rich people don't really want to watch their toys play in Sheffield. They'd much rather do it in London.

That could work out really well for them, able to loan players via PSG.

If they're talking to Bielsa it must be virtually sealed. It'll be a case of asking him what players he wants

Or Leeds, or Manchester, or Birmingham, or Liverpool. or Newcastle, or Bristol, or Nottingham, or Sunderland, or Norwich, or Ipswich, or Southampton, or Portsmouth, or Bournemouth, or Derby, or Leicester, or Brighton, or Watford, in fact anywhere else at all really.

PSG looking to create another Wolves by buying a Championship club. I don’t quite understand why QPR are in there, and the fallacy around Forest being a huge club continues but it would be another nail in the FFP coffin.

No club can do a Watford now, they loaned 10 players from one club. You are only allowed five overseas loans now in a matchday squad and only four from one team.

A couple of people have said this; what is it about the Qataris that makes them so undesirable??

They are nuts, a lot of them have been handed businesses and have enough cash that they can afford to run them at a loss. The older generation (60 years plus) have known hard times, the young ones haven’t and it’s that generation that we would be run by.

It would be a vanity project and the identity of the club will be gone overnight. Wilder would also be gone as he’s not foreign enough.

Surely they can’t be that bad if you still live in Qatar?

I know a little about the younger generation in Qatar from someone who used to work there. Lots of very disturbed young men, with excessive wealth but absolutely no idea what to do with their lives. I'm sure they are not all nuts, but it was a very depressing conversation. This person had the job of trying to help these people but couldn't put up with in the end and came home.

A football team is pocket change to these people. That's why they've got no idea what to do with their lives.

If proof was finally needed.
