I was there today and the lads played well apart from a dip in the second half-not hoofball that was the opposition. We got it down and played a passing game. Couldnot really see their two goals as were at the far end and they put us in a rubbish position in a corner behind a big red pillar. Saw the our third goal tho -class. I am guessing most of the posters werent actually there today. We sang loud and the moment of the day for me was when afer the third goal Killa was on his knees before us with the biggest grin ever. Perhaps eez still a Blade? Henderson was on fire - Squinn was rubbish and needs to fight for his place. We won be happy for gods sake

Thank you for posting something based on first hand knowledge. Very refreshing to read.

I wouldn't expect Killa to stay, and to be honest I can't see Quinn looking like a footballer of value on the left of a 5-man midfield.

To be fair to TEN, there were a small handful (didn't looke quite like 25k though) for a very short time after the Bristol equaliser went in today :)

Perhaps they were doing a straw poll in the car park whilst the rest of us rushed to the corner flag to celebrate with Hendo and co? :D

Swiss cowbell, give me some info.
When was your first game. Do you understand what Currie and Woodward mean? Do you understand what it means to people that wear "Tony Currie walks on water" t shirts? (not me. ) Do you understand what it feels like to be inside Bramall Lane at 5.45pm hearing "You can do magic" to Tony Currie. Sheffield United is a feeling, a feeling from the heart, it is NOT about 3 points.

Tell you what TEN, when the 3rd went in today, I had that feeling I know all too well, and looking around... a few more did too.

Still, I'm sure they were all busy thinking of crap puns on Kevin Blackwell's name to rush home and talk about him getting sacked.

Foxy, i love Sheffield United with all my heart and soul.
I just cannot tolerate Blackwell 1%.
For goodness sake, surely you can relate to that logic.

TEN, Original Cowbell put down (was it meant to be a put down)

My first game v Leeds 23 Sept 1990, Stood on John St East

Yes I understand the Currie and Woodward stuff, but unfortunately I never got chance to see them play. I wasn't born.

Me no get what your post mean? Does it mean that because I'm in my mere 30's that I don't know what it means to be a Blade.

Is this a pissing contest to show how much of a Blade you are?

Yes it is about 3pts for today at least...

The logic I relate to, is that I've just come back from Bristol happy, because the Blades have won.

Mr "Fatwell" was part of that win, and if that win means he keeps his job a little longer, then i'm happy... let him keep keeping himself in a job for the rest of the season.

Just bought more time.
Fatwell OUT OUT OUT!

I think Killa has been on the bus the last times I have seen him play but he played well today and a few of us commented the way he was on his knees before the away fans was suprising and rather wonderful. Perhaps Birch is turning him round? BTW Shearer and Speed for me

He did play well today.

They all celebrated like it meant an awful lot to them though!

TEN, although I accept your viewpoint on not liking Blackwell, thats fine, but to start a thread like that after we WIN a game, away from home, break their 11 month record, then you can't really complain about the amount of abuse you're getting, you've set yourself up for it if i'm honest.

Yes, a win does not mean things are rosy and all problems are solved, we all see that, but lets hope that these two back to back wins are the start of the revival, rather than, two lucky wins and we'll be back to losing next week.

Let's celebrate the win and look forward to the next game. But don't attack the boss after a win that's just a bit DIM!

Of course when you have been so dogmatic and unswerving in a pursuit of a single issue, anything that might make that look even slightly uncertain is always unwelcome. You'd think that this was the worst thing that could've happen for a few on here. I get the impression yet another defeat would've brought a more joyous response. Am I right TEN?

Just bought more time.
Fatwell OUT OUT OUT!

i agree with u after a couple of win you know we gonna go back to square one with fatwell in charge, and when we do win it not good football,

OUT OUT OUT!!!!!!

We were fortunate against Peterboro but have been very unfortunate in 4 or 5 games so far this season. If we had the run of the ball we'd be in the play off zone now.

He did play well today.

They all celebrated like it meant an awful lot to them though!

I don't want to be too negative because it was a great moment - but the genuine emotion was at least 50% relief from having let in a dreadful goal a minute before and got out of jail. 3 times on the trot before they scored we gifted them possession and they pinged it in to that giant McCoombe camped on our penalty spot. A brain dead way to try and hold onto the lead Had we not got the goal I for one would have been absolutely fuming about our approach to the 5 minutes of extra time

cheap as chips OUT OUT OUT !

He's a rubbish manager..... but fear not Sir Clevor will give him his P45 very soon.

Let me be the first to wish all Blades a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Shoreham, Get a life. In Hell!
I've got a life. In Woodseats. Are you a lady? Is it PMT that means three points is not enough?

OUT OUT OUT!!!!!!
And here come more lickers.

Do you understand what Currie and Woodward mean?
It doesn't mean being a Grade A mardy bugger when we've won away from home, against a team many expected us to lose to. It doesn't mean slagging off fans who are happy with three points even if they aren't happy with the manager. It doesn't mean not being able to spell "twat" either.

Sheffield United is a feeling, a feeling from the heart, it is NOT about 3 points.

It's about a lot of things, but three points for a win must be quite high on the list. Or are you another in the long line of "bigger Blade than the rest" idiots who think that you know best because you've been going for longest/have a bigger programme collection/dribble a higher volume of fresh drool whenever you see a picture of Fatty Foulke?

Threads like this rather undermine the cause for all those who want him out.

Anyway...

Infractions handed out where necessary and I do not expect PMs telling me I am "bang out of order" for doing so.

That must be when the 75% vote occured, 5:45pm. One full hour after the game finished.

And YES IT IS all about 3 points.
