What we are up against.

Well it’s likely they’ll take six points against us next season.

You could, of course, post that on nearly all Premier club fora.

It's about mental strength more than anything. We're going to have to be willing to risk losing 6-0 to the likes of City and still believe in our approach. It really doesn't matter if you lose to the big boys, if it's a big margin, you play your football to your best ability and trust that we'll win enough games to be where we want to be.

I think we've seen this season that we can play smart when needed. We won't be reckless but I hope we try to win games instead of getting into the hold onto a point mentality.

I realise Watford were facing the mighty Man City so it's not easy to make a judgement.

I think we need to be looking at the other clubs outside of the top 4/6 where we can pick up the points.

Watford had a good season but there wasn't a great deal about their play that should over concern us.

I can imagine Chris and his team are relishing the thoughts of out thinking these teams.

If I had a penny for every team we couldn’t live with or couldn’t beat I’d be a pensioner waiting for the chicken to get priced down..

However mad and crazy this seems, we can beat anybody on our day, wilder makes every match “our day” we will always surprise the prima donnas and always get the famous victories, one day our luck will run out as it always does, but until then enjoy the sunshine..

I’ve still got the Charlton GCB ringing in my ears..

Obviously seen Man City bang a few teams out this season so had a look; 10 victories by more than 5 clear goals, including a couple in Europe, doubling Burnley 5-0 (twice) and also battering Top 6 Chelsea. So what do you do? Go and have a go in the hope that you shock them but knowing that they could worsen your GD by double figures?
Easy.
At 0-2, use all the subs, get 3 sent off and a couple injured....works every time :)

IMO Watford were shite in defence, Gomez in goal???? They are strong going forward, and try the break away goal technique. If this doesn't work, they're knackered. We will have a better game plan and a more solid defence. Still probably lose, but not as badly. We need to win 9 or 10 at home, pick up some points away. We'll be fine, then build from their.

Was Joe Hart in the net for those Burnley ones, if so you can take those out.

The forum football mob would easy get 5 past Joe Hart.

As for what you do, dunno, lure them into a false sense of security and then surprise attack them?
What someone suggested a season or two ago - kidnap some of them!

but what do you do against man city, because 1 big problem with eddie howe. is that he basically waved the white flag 5-5-0, 0 shots on target 0 shots 0 corners & 18% possession. he was asking to be beat. but then when you have the genius of both silvas, de bruyne, sane & sterling feeding aguero they always find the pinpoint ball to rip you apart like they did v Burnley

if you try to & play a normal attacking style. they will hammer you 6-0 like Watford or chelsea. so its a hard balance to strike. just go into the game play the normal game & take your chance when you get it cross your fingers & hope

Aren't Trillions those little sour, crunchy sweets? That's not that impressive

That's Millions, Douglas Rae the t'owd fella behind it welcomed us into Cappilow Park and took us behind the scenes (trophy room, refs room, etc etc) one pre-season before we played Morton.

Something that Mr Mansour is notably yet to do.
