After seeing them dismantle Watford, I'm preying we can limit them to 3 in both games next season, I mean, it could be worse, we could be playing small teams next season, such as Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday!:D:p

Obviously seen Man City bang a few teams out this season so had a look; 10 victories by more than 5 clear goals, including a couple in Europe, doubling Burnley 5-0 (twice) and also battering Top 6 Chelsea. So what do you do? Go and have a go in the hope that you shock them but knowing that they could worsen your GD by double figures?

Was Joe Hart in the net for those Burnley ones, if so you can take those out.

The forum football mob would easy get 5 past Joe Hart.

As for what you do, dunno, lure them into a false sense of security and then surprise attack them?

We're up against a club who can afford to let Kompany go, and who are willing to sell Jesus.

Money only gets you so far. If it was all about money then the league would be entirely in order of money spent.

They've certainly over paid for players. As much as i like Kyle Walker, he's not £45-50Million better than Baldock. It's very easy to inflate prices when you have so much money, see PSG.

They play excellent football and whilst yesterday they looked fantastic, its come from appointing the right manager, backroom staff and bringing the right players in. Sound familiar? Just like we've done on a smaller scale at United.

As for what we're up against, we'll be in the same division, but not the same financial league as City. However, didn't we say that two years ago when we came up too? I guess this will be a much wider gap that we must mind.

City play in a mini league within the league with 5 other clubs all wanting the European dream, Arsenal tried and failed, Chelsea had a crack, Man U were dominating Europe for a while, Liverpool have been trying to have a go for years. City and Spurs are relative new comers to it though. The remaining 15 clubs in the Prem all seem to be a bad run away from throwing it all down the pan, despite the money they all have, they're mostly happy to sack their manager after a year or so.

Its like the old adage, you don't have to be the fastest runner, you just need to make sure you're faster than the bloke next to you or in the Prem case, faster than 3 others.

One thing i want to know though is that whilst City have all this money, why the fook have they got Nike producing that vile kit. It looks like the fakes you used to see in holiday resorts 10-20 years ago. City could basically attract any kit manufacturer and get a really iconic kit. Instead they have a horrible kit.
 
It will require Wilder to deal with changing expectations and realistic outcomes based on the opposition very differently to the way he's done it so far.
Also managing the odd thrashing in a way the next winnable game isn't compromised.
Hell do it very well and enhance his stock and ours in the process.

So many teams “play the man, not the ball” against City. Abandon their preferred way of playing and try to over complicate it. 9/10 times they’ll do you anyway, so surely it’s better to face up to them in system the players know well.

They will likely go onto to be one of the greatest sides the Premier League has seen, I hope we at least try to lay a glove on them and give them something to think about at the other end. Containment seems just as risky a tactic as any other, particularly if they then score early.

There is obviously a huge difference in quality between City and Watford, City seemed to have another 2 or 3 gears and they were able to completely dictate the pace of the game after they scored.

But until then, Watford seemed to be having a bit of a go. After City took the lead they went back to trying to defend from a losing position.

We haven't seen this from Wilder's side in three years and i hope that he doesn't adopt the approach he played against Wednesday in the Prem - i.e fear of losing. It won't work if we try to contain as you say.

No team in English top flight football has hit double figures since Fulham beat Ipswich 10-1 in 1963.
 
watched the fa cup final upto city’s first goal. after that - contest over, went and did something else. not in the least bit surprised it finished 6-0. boring. financial doping and image washing for a human-rights abusing absolute monarchy.
