If it needs spelling out:- Butland has 100s of Prem matches experience...he also had multiple England Caps. He's likely to be sold this summer and it will be for more cash that Henderson would be available for.

....because Butland is a better keeper at this moment in time.
No one in their right mind would put Hendo in front of him at the moment.

It's third choice for a relatively minor tournament. A great opportunity to blood a young keeper if you ask me.

A very minor tournament, and at 2 games not really a tournament at all, just a couple of international matches.
What vital experience do you think he'll gain there, rather than say, staying with the Under 21s and playing in the actual U21 finals in Italy?

I don't want hendo on loan again. We only get two loans from Prem clubs, and we can't afford to buy superstar strikers, so that's where I'd head for the loans.

Buy or look elsewhere... Even butland would be a good addition, or one of Burnleys 400 goalkeepers

I thought Gunn got called up in the March squad but having looked it up, he didn't.

Either way a decent full season in the Premier League may have him ahead of Henderson excellent full season in the Championship.
