Doesn’t play the same role.

Would be a fantastic signing and would replace Norwood. Adds more attacking wise as well but would limit JF in a bursting forwards way.

The 2 would be a great CM pair though.

I've barely watched any premier league football this season, but I seem to remember Cairney playing as a number 10 the season they were promoted to the prem? Have I imagined this?

There’s only really David Silva who could compete with Duffy but I don’t think City will let him leave? :)

Seriously, it’s someone like Adam Lallana that would be ideal but again it will be the wages that end up being the stumbling block.

No he does play as a no.10 and would be a great signing but I think he's just signed a big new contract with Fulham. People keep mentioning Canos but unless we are going to change shape to play with wingers I can't see how he fits in.

Just signed a new contract. I’m all for people creating topics about players they want to sign. But 30 seconds worth of research would show you he’s just signed a new deal.

Shows how some people just want to create a topic and throw a name in there without looking at anything.

Im not saying you’re wrong but when people sign a new contract it can sometimes mean they’re moving on and they’re making sure the club gets top dollar for their asset.

My guess is that Tom Cairney won’t be a Fulham player by the start of the season.

Signed a new contract (their chairman is a multi billionaire)

Been injured, not out of favour. Parker’s going to fancy him.

Rather spend mega money on other areas rather than midfield

Fulham are owned by a billionaire, they don’t tend to double bluff. He will start the season at Fulham.

Newcastle had a £20m bid turned down in 2017. Cairney has just signed a new 5-year deal with Fulham which included the club waiving the 'your wages drop if we get relegated' clause, so he remains on £60k a week. If he stays put, that's £15m over 5 years by which time he'll be 33. I know what I'd do...

Earlier this season, Shearer showed a clip on MotD where Fulham were at home to Citeh. Cairney was stood next to de Bruyne and, in an instant, de Bruyne was 20 yards away while Cairney was stood in his original spot. That's what we're up against now...

You could well be right but my main point is and I’ll go back to it is that a contract in the grand scheme of things means diddly squat. You just get a bigger fee if the said player is to move on.

Aye, £20m+ for Cairney would fit in completely with everything else we have to do...

We should also sign Mitrovic for £30m, can't believe it hasn't been suggested yet

I've read our budget for next season is £600m so we would have plenty of money left to sign the likes of Grealish, Mitrovic, Seri, Balotelli and Bale.

Yes, which immediately rules us out.

Funded by ISIS?

looking at Fulham losing to Barnsley and forgot he was still there. I doubt we have that kind of money to play with but I reckon he'd do well for us.
