How many do we realistically need? And what kind of strikers to go with Sharp and McGoldrick?
Possibly 3..
- Young with potential
- PL experience
- Big lad like Madine type

We need at least 2 who can lead the line, including one with pace.

Add 2 of those to Sharp and McGoldick, then sign a couple of quick types who can play behind, including one who can replace Duffy.

Example...

McBurnie
Roofe
Robinson
Freeman

Until Leon and ched have been sold we have 4. They’ve been transfer listed (as freeman and Coutts were when wilder arrived 3 years ago)

Nay Ricky lad.

You’re thinking Championship level. We need to raise the bar a bit higher.

Won’t be easy though!

My guess is we’ll be making the moneyball move of getting someone in that isn’t prolific, but is very clinical.

How about having four strikers who all play a similar style but can change styles to suit any certain game, then form and confidence determines who plays, rather than players coming on to change what we normally do.

Same with midfielders
Same with defenders

Then every player knows his job and the strengths of his team mates

The best teams only change personnel, they do not change their style of play or use a different option. It's the players used to overcome a particular problem that provide the different options

I detest all Pigs and all their overpaid ‘players’

Funny as fuck though suggesting we might sign some of em.

They’re gonna be spitting their dummies out big time when we start our season in the big time!!

Agree with BladesPod that for c. £3m i’d have a look at Madine as a 4th choice striker. Think VAR will mean centre halves in the Prem will really struggle to handle him.

Madine will be going nowhere for £3m.

Dear Chris, PLEASE DONT BUY MADINE, THINK BIGGER!!
love you always,
BB

I think we were heavily linked with Roofe last year.
Wilder also said in an interview this week that some targets still had games to play so youd think that narrowed it down to the 4 play off teams.

What's his contract and availability like?

I'd prefer McBurnie to Madine for out target man and Roofe would suit his style.

Just posted about him on the 'Player Suggestion' thread. One year left on contract. Would be cheaper, and better, than a lot of the other options. Would give us a lot of flexibility. Would have had 20+ goals had he stayed fit, which would change a few perceptions of him.

But now we're in the dosh we could perhaps get him a set of FUCKIN studs.
