.....next season.

Imagine a league with

The 4 Champions League and Europa Cup finalists (Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea)
Plus the team with the biggest club fanbase in the world (Man Utd)
Plus arguably the best club team in the world (Man City)

Well we will be playing all the above next season home and away.

Wednesday fans just read em and weep. They’ve missed a massive opportunity whilst we suffered in league 1 and now we’ll see a massive national and international growth in our profile. This is the reason why many pigfans are now in mourning walking around in a daze....they know they’ve blown it big style.

The future is bright...the future is red and white. Most of the upcoming school kids will now be Blades.

You forgot Watford and Bournemouth.

Can't say I have spotted a pig shirt wearer since our promotion was confirmed, strange that ;) They are keeping a very low profile at the moment it would seem.

I've seen a few round my way. I was whistling the 'allez allez allez' song around sainsburys at Wadsley Bridge on Sunday. Some bloke spun round and gave me a right stare. A wink and a 'Dem Blades pal' was enough to leave the poor cunts bottom lip trembling.

How could anyone forget such titans of the footballing world.

Wasn't he a baddie in Stingray?

Heard this in 2006.

One step at a time.

We've got the 13 year hoodoo to deal with first ;)

Martin Tyler might, it's the sort of thing he knows and says in lulls in play.

He'll say it, and then Gary Neville will start crying.
It will be interesting to see what they call 'them' when they play us, I don't think I can recall them ever been called Manchester during a commentary.

Sir Chris Wilder laughs in the face of hoodoos.
I’m saying this quietly....... but I think he has the football Gods running scared.

The PL is now much bigger then it was in 2006, especially on the international scene.
Also this is the current longest spell in history, 11 years, that Sheffield hasn’t had a top flight team.
There will be massive demand from South Yorkshire to witness a top flight game.

Also football has never been as vibrant in England.
We have 2 Champions League finalists, 2 Europa cup finalists.
England reached the semi finals of the World Cup playing good football
And we play in the Nations League finals in the Summer, topping a group including Spain and Croatia.

My point is.....our timing of reaching the top flight couldn’t have been better.

If only 3 of those 4 finalists were from London. And if only all 4 had more than half a dozen Englishmen between them.

Irritatingly they will still be called United by all the pundits, other teams will be Sheffield, West Ham, Newcastle and possibly Leeds. Get's my goat.

I have suggested elsewhere that for their visit we get a massive banner to greet them:

"The Original United welcomes Newton Heath"

Agree Sheffield and particularly Sheffield United should be blowing our trumpet more about our heritage.

However no doubt if we did produce a massive banner as mentioned above, you can bet some of the public would be “outraged”
And the media would report this as “disrespectful”.

It's nowt new.

For added outrage I'd add across the bottom, "Media, pundits and commentators please take note"

"Anything can happen in the next half hour!"
I used to visualize the contents of the houses such as peoples snap, jigsaws, goldfish and everything not nailed down flying about as Marineville was sent underground.
A good few "OH FFS. Just cleared up from t' last time. 'Kin 'ell !

I happen to think we are going to do rather well next season.

Our approach of buying young hungry players, added to a core of 15 or remaining players who are just desperate to prove themselves, sprinkle in a pinch of of savvy PL experience... we will be out of the traps in some teams faces and I can see us bloodying a few noses.

Consider also that Wider has more in common with the Eddie Howes of this world, a manager who is forward thinking and can adapt to new challenges, than he does say a Warnock.

We will have a better idea once our business is done, but I am going out on a limb now to say that we won't struggle.

I'll join in if i hear you next time. Always in there

Is that the Watford who are in the Fa cup-final this week , or the Bournmouth that were able to get our best player from the last 40 years , from us paupers , .lets not get all Billy big boots . Leave that for the pigs , lets respect all teams , even those who have bought success .

Come on, get it right, we all know that the team with the biggest club fan base in the world is South Barnsley FC.

Nearest I've seen is I went to pick up my 5 yr old grandson from school on Monday and some sad pig and obviously made his child wear a pig's bobble hat when said sad pig collected his son the twat was wearing ordinary clothes.
