My five favourite Championship games over the past two seasons

1.Bouncing Day Massacre. What else?! Scoring four at Hillsborough, being stuck at Hillsborough Corner cheering like mad when we realised we were winning, Duffy silencing the bouncers, Clarke scoring our fourth in front of Blades fans, Brooks' nutmeg. Magical! The three subsequent goalless bore draws will be forgotten, we have bragging rights until we meet again!
2. Blades 2 Ipswich 0. I hated 70 minutes of the game, so tense. But when O'Connell headed it in in front of the Kop so many emotions; relief, jubilation, disbelief.
3. Leeds 0 Blades 1. I didn't give us a chance, I looked up at the scoreboard and saw 70 minutes had gone, only 20 minutes to hold on. Then Sharp laid it on to Basham, who did the world's greatest sliding tackle goal.
4. United 4 Villa 1. On a warm, sunny day United put on their best performance for years, outplaying a decent Villa side. I would have mentioned Villa away if the final whistle had gone on 82 minutes!
5. West Brom 0 Blades 1. My nephew's first away match and my dad's first away match for years. Was dreading it being a damp squib, but a cracking atmosphere, great defending and superb header by Dowell. I started to believe!
With honourable mentions to Brentford at home on our return (showed we could compete at this level), going top at Leeds thanks to great Brooks goal, the madness of the five four Fulham game (hate losing but what a game), Blackburn away this season (great performance against a team difficult to beat at home) and Derby on Boxing Day (great atmosphere, terrible ref, superb performance).

We showed all the attributes that gained us promotion this season in that one 55 minute period.

Derby at Home on boxing day was the day we arrived as a top 2 contender for me - having lost to Leeds and West Brom at home it was a big statement to the league and to our own players belief. The intensity with which we played and the crowd noise after we didn't get that penalty made it one of my favourite home games in years.

Didsy's lob over the keeper just made it better - my favourite type of goals as you know they are in way before they cross the line.

I would also add Derby at Home on Boxing Day, the turning point where the belief that we could take on one of the Divisions top sides when they were playing well and play even better than them and beat them, until that game it had been my belief that if the one of the top sides played well they would beat us the other side had to have an off day.

From that point we beat or dominated More or less everyone in the top six.

Hull away a few weeks ago was just bliss. It was how half-time felt at Wembley against the same opponents, only it lasted for the whole game AND we actually won.

In fact, Hull at home last season was pretty special too - 1-0 down at half-time, absolutely blitzed them second half and (deservedly) won 4-1.

At the risk of being dull , Sheffield Wednesday 2 vs 4 Sheffield United was undoubtedly the best viewing live on TV. I've watched the highlights again and again on You Tube
I do remember the only thing that spoilt it , was Sky seemingly reluctant to show the United support celebrating , always an integral part of enjoying a match ,( sat in an armchair) , to the full ..perhaps the Camera man was a Porker ?

You probably didn't hear about it, but every possible obstruction was put in place to negate the Blades support that day. Minimal ticket allocation (only upper tier in The Death Stand where those well-behaved Leeds fans got both tiers) and the fucking useless police who held up a lot of United's support outside the ground so they missed the first 20-odd minutes of the game. Twats.
