Am I right in saying that at the Norwich game a big banner was produced on the Kop and a few blades launched themselves down it like on a slide? Is that my memory playing tricks?

Couple of things I remeber clearly from the standing days are the scenes when Deano equalised against Liverpool and his header against Forest.

I also a remember a League Cup tie against Tottenham and stood at back it was as packed as I'd ever known it having started in early 80's.

Gutted, another 15 degrees to the right and you would have seen the infamous white wall. The best view inside Bramall lane that ever was. Chabbies you don't know what you missed.

Stood there from mid season 88-89 season until the kop became all seater, brilliant spot! All our family stood there, about 6-8 of us. Happy days indeed

Lol, does look a bit Fraggle Rock I suppose, but I did have a good excuse. I'd spent years, week in - week out, suffering the under achieving Blades and it was my first time to suffer first hand, my favourite under achieving team from across the pond. Yay, go fins, go..! Sigh...

Indeed not - I was under the banner when the first came down - I wondered what the fuck was going on. Had some absolutely great days there in the 3-4 years when Bassett was in charge. The noise and atmosphere when we were well on top was amazing - a night match when we tubbed Watford 4-0 and I think the last goal hit a divot and bobbled (slight understatement as Tony Coton was stood up) over the keeper. I had my back to the crush barrier at the back of the section as Deano hit the ball and at one point whacked my back on the crush barrier at the front of the section in the ensuing melee.

The chorus of "now you're gonna believe us - the blades are going up" after the goal is enough to make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck just thinking about it now.
