That 'League One Championship Winners' momentum stuff takes a while to run out doesn't it?
When we had that sticky patch towards the end of last season, I thought that was it, gone for good but no, it seems we're still managing to ride on the coat-tails of the success of 2017.
Imagine what we could achieve if we could just replace that over-achieving Chris Wilder and his bunch of past-its, cast-offs and lower league no-hopers.

Wonder when fans of other clubs might realise we have a great manager (most do), but also we have a set of talented players who by all accounts all are pretty comfortable on the ball.

Perhaps we're as good as your Brightons, Bournemouths and Newcastles, who knows? Wilder will have a shopping list and I trust him to take us to the next level without breaking the bank.

To bring a small sense of reality to the thread, some of our S6 neighbours have realised, albeit, belatedly how good CW and the management team are.

After being slagged off after CW first joined and selling Adams and DCL within a few days, many had written us off and were claiming (with the help of Chansiri's wealth) that the "city" was there's and that we'd simply gone to the dogs.

I know numerous sensible S6 fans - they have become grudgingly accepting of what we've achieved.

Beating Ipswich on Saturday will hopefully complete an absolutely staggering turn round in our fortunes within just three years - a quite remarkable achievement.

We hopefully then move onto the next chapter - a really really difficult next chapter.

There will be many a fool (like the S6 lot, 3 years ago) who'll write off a CW Sheffield United team.

"We're on the march, we're Wilders army"

Will he be the only manager in english football that's been promoted from every division from the conference (no relegations)?

Did Martin O'Neil?

There's absolutely no reason we can't emulate the likes of Palace or Southampton.
Yes they've had struggles but also some good seasons in the Prem. I can't wait to see who Wilder goes for in the transfer market. Just hope the Chuckle Brothers give him whatever he wants. It won't be stupid money and could cement our place in the top flight for years to come.

It's an interesting question and a quick look on Wiki suggests not.

What is clear though, is O'Neill like Wilder learnt his management trade in lower leagues.

Warnock has done it. He's had relegations too of course.

Exactly, I really believe his record is unparalleled.

His stock should be ridiculously high. However he will still get overlooked in favour of fashionable Johnny Foreigner.

Just as well really.

Momentum and Passion....

It's all we have.

Ironically, that's what the pigs are now claiming to have. Oh and an home nations manager born and bred who says it like it is. Think theyve found a formula after how long in Champ?

They'll be playing with overlapping attacking centre backs next the wankers.

It's quite complimentary.

I've even read a quote on porktalk that they need to 'do what the blades have done'.
