One concern re: Villa is that they may not select some key players, preferring to get them rested and not risk any injuries as they build up to the playoffs. As many have said before, plenty of twists to come, I still think we need 9 points

They’ve won their last 9 haven’t they? They’ll be wanting to keep that momentum going.

Abraham injured his shoulder yesterday.

It's a critical game for us without doubt. Win it and then Leeds have to go to Brentford and win. We then get Ipswich at home, win that and Leeds have to then beat Villa the following day. We can ramp up the pressure on Leeds for what is two incredibly tough games for them. The Hull game is probably the biggest game for us since the Burnley PO final

Hulls results at home this season January onwards - worry yourselves not.

They are a mid table side and the sides they have beaten are nothing to write home about - we are 2nd in the league - it's time to prove it.

It's time to take a tough game and just do what the form table and the league suggests should happen - and that's a Blades win.

One game at a time.

UTB

Hull 3 0 Pigs
Hull 6 0 Bolton
Hull 2 1 Millwall
Hull 2 2 Roherham
Hull 2 0 Stoke
Hull 2 2 QPR
Hull 2 0 Birmingham
Hull 2 1 Wigan
Hull 3 1 Reading

Totally agree mate, as mentioned I reckon we need 3 wins - do that and Leeds have to gain 6 goals on us - not impossible but unlikely
Our goal difference is currently plus six on Leeds. If we win our last three games 1-0 we will then be plus nine on them. To get past us by winning their last three games they will have to score 10 goals, so the task is even more unlikely than you think.

My opinion is that you shouldn’t say nonsense things like X is definitely going to happen, when there are no givens in this league. Wigan winning a game at Leeds where they were a goal and man down after 15 or so mins is a far less likely thing to happen than Stoke taking points from us at home, or Ipswich scraping a draw at the Lane, or Leeds beating a Brentford team with nothing to play for, or a Villa team that looks as though they’ll have little left to play for given their points difference to 6th or 4th. So yeah, saying we’re definitely going up if we win Monday is nonsense.

I’d have hoped that didn’t need spelling out – didn’t you already learn all this when kicking off a few times when the teamsheets game in? It’s almost as though you’ve lined up this “definitely up if we win at Hull” talking point so that you can reappear after we don’t and say we’ve “blown it”.

I agree about the Pig’s nonsense. A bit of balance though. Suggestions that Dirty Corrupt Leeds will cruise comfortably through Brentford and Villa are just as absurd.

Exactly, Hull are a good side with excellent individuals, Grosicki and Bowen have the ability to kill us if we are off our game

That’s true of the majority of teams in the Championship. There are no titans. Let’s draw a line between caution and pusillanimity.

I said a couple of weeks ago, let's win all six and then we don't have to worry about it.
Now I'm saying lets win all three
Next week I'll say let's win both of them

And at Stoke I'll say either let's win or play the youth team depending on whether we've messed it up against Hull and/or Ipswich or not

Dirty Corrupt Leeds are going to win all their games? Personally, I think not.

Just to add to the improbability drive, those 10 goals would have to be unanswered by the opposition.

That's a hell of a word. Have you had one of those bets with somebody about how many times you can get a word like pusillanimity into a discussion

No. I sincerely hope they don't, but I'm just trying to show the situation if they do. My brain hurts just thinking about it all

Leeds players and fans are on the floor, yesterday has broken them. If we beat Hull I just think the pressure might be too much for them. Hope we come out for this game like a team possessed.
