What happened at the player's presentation on Saturday?

Honestly, people posting crap on twitter etc. need get a reality check. these players have been absolutely fantastic all season. I had to dash on Satdi, so didn't stay to clap them off for the first time this season.

They looked like a team that had run it's race at the weekend, but I hope they can go again. They could do with a Leeds slip to give them a boost as well.

Fans giving them shit and calling them bottlers are wankers in my view, or ignorant of how football works.

Completely agree. It sounds though like not much was said at the do [thankfully] but as you say the idiots on twitter etc have been out in force as usual.

As for Saturday I felt more stunned than anything at the end; with the sending off, missed penalty and then the equalizer with seconds left I was in a daze trying to process it all. Weird thing was I could hardly hear the Millwall supporters cheering either, it was like the shock/disappointment/whatever seemed to suck all of the sound out of the stadium. Weirdest I have ever felt after a match, more disbelief than pissed off.

Seems to me from his radio interview that it was Chris Wilder (not the fans) who was calling them out for going backwards (against his clear instructions).
He mentioned something about "not throwing the players under the bus" and then proceeded to do just that , for the first time in 30 months and in very clear terms.

Whilst most of the fans on here were calling out Chris for his negative substitutions and apparent desire to defend the shaky 1-0 lead.

The denouement on Saturday felt so much like the Football Gods kicking us in the nuts , that everyone who loves the Club can be forgiven for unravelling emotionally.

Fortunately its gonna be sunny & 20c on Friday so we can all get our replica shirts on and regroup.

View attachment 52066 The players also thanked all supporters for their continued loyalty and dedication, which was nice

Great photo !

What was this event ? Club or Supporters Club ?
I never get to hear about these things in advance - I must get my shit together and get on the mailings.
I'd like to join a Supporters Club , despite living in MancLand.
I tried a while back but as I don't do FaceBook , the mechanics of joining were inaccessible.

Fortunately I have heard about the dinner on 28 April cos an email from the Club somehow landed.
But I keep finding out about other good stuff after it's gone.

Advice/assistance would be appreciated.

Great photo. McCabe was going around the room asking people in the crowd to stand up and identify Kean Bryan to win a prize. On the 5th attempt a little boy pointed him out and he rightfully received a round of applause from everyone. Even Kean himself was surprised.

So let’s cut to the chase. Does anyone know a good scaffolder? I need to get my roof sorted out.

Gary Sinclair does the presentations, after there's a buffet, raffle and live music
It's a good night tbh

"That's 'Anthemz' with a 'z' and not an 's'?" "Okay i'll get back to you with the booking confirmation". Screws up paper.

There was a guy outside as the players were going to their cars having a pop at Billy and Hendo
So various people had a go at him including my daughter he came back with 'Youre a woman what do you know about football' and then for some reason asked her how many loyalty points she had when she told him 52000 he was somewhat embarassed
If there were two players less likely for anyone to have a go at, I would say it's Billy and Hendo!

Don’t believe everything you read on here. For instance I should coco ‘s experience with scaffolders may include riggers and a harness but doesn’t mean he’s been up and down a ladder with a spanner.

.....and terry towelling socks? We've all been there. Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone, ST. In the words of Uncle Monty, sometimes i was the sponge, and sometimes the stone. ;)

Remember when Duff allegedly had a scrap last year n'all?

Butter ollox springs to mind.

Many thanks !

Former scaffolder. In my experience of dealing with Scaffolders over the years, they're a straight talking bunch and they don't take any shit. They're a special breed

You'd always want them on your side.
Scaffolders are different gravy
