Well after last night's victory for Leeds this has become a huge game. But Birmingham will likely beat us 3-0 and we pretty much should pack in for this season now as Leeds clearly have it wrapped up. So football God's you needn't throw us any bum deals because it's inevitable failure either way....

But anyway...

Any team news? :)

Is JOC fit to return?

Madine a likely option tonight...

JOC apart, start unchanged?

Joking apart from my initial introduction, this is a very difficult game. A place we don't have much success, and a manager who may have the Midas touch over Wilder...

That said, it's been a while since they have 2 in a row at home, and we ain't top 3 through luck. On very little basis, I expect Birmingham to be quite physical, while relying on the likes of Adams to do the damage. Stick to our usual game, but at 110% this evening and let's see what happens. 1-1 head, 2-1 Blades victory heart...

Safe journey all

Thought we have an advantage playing after Leeds so we know what we have to do, but now they won I’m not so sure.

As long as Johnson and Washington don’t start we will be fine BLADES 2-0 with Adams sent off for crying

Buzzing for this one. 2500 blades in the away end with me and a chance to go second. What's not to love!

2800 I think
Not that it matters, but it's just like us to understate it, just like most fans did when describing the Preston following

The same 2800 pigs and it would be rounded up to 3500

Was out so didn’t see the Leeds game last night but can’t help feeling a bit deflated not to be going into this one with at least the chance of going three points clear.

Hopefully the players aren’t down about it.

Think it might be a draw. 2-2

Be happeh with 0-1 to us.

As said before, Saturday's win against PNE and Leeds's fuck up has been a pivot point for us. Shame about BCFC at the lane but we seem to have recovered somewhat and found the battling spirit again.

Just need the players to stay focused tonight, do the job they did at WBA and Leeds again and forget about Villa.

COYRAWW!

The beauty of this management team and this squad is that they go out for a win, home or away, regardless of the opposition. OK, there might be a little Leets devil sat on the shoulder but it won't change our mentality or approach one iota.

hopefully Madine will make up for his absence after the ban, with a hat trick.
putting leeds on the scary side of the roller coaster.

I'm not one to form conclusions from historical results, but in our last 7 visits to St. Andrews, we've lost 6 and won 1, and i can see it being 7-1 by the end of tonight. The place seems to a bit of a graveyard for us. Che Adams is bound to score at least one and i'm fearing the worst to be honest. The Preston result last night did us no favours what so ever. I'd happily take 0-0 now and move on to Millwall.

Che Adams ALWAYS scores on FIFA19 against us.

Just sayin' ...

Thought you weren't forming conclusions and then predicting we lose, chin up nico and have some faith,we are where we are on merit and could essily go to brum and snatch a flooky draw in injury time

The Blades have only lost 1 of their last 12 games away from home (couldn't believe this either) - W6, D5, L1. A fantastic record which includes trips to the rest of the top 5.

We and the players have nothing to fear, I'd take a point now, but there's no doubt we can get all three.

A draw and a point behind would be more than acceptable as we have closed the gap on Leeds and bettered their results over this two away game period.

We then have the chance to put pressure on Leeds by playing earlier on Saturday.

Nervous about this one, Birmingham are Jekyll and Hyde this season in terms of results and have picked up recently. I can never remember which was shit at football but I hope they're that one tonight.

I can’t help but wonder what the lads have been told if we’re drawing after say 75 minutes. Are they being told a draw is fine or to go for it.

CW is hardly famed for settling for a point. Also, all a point does is mean we can afford to draw next time Leeds lose.

I know we should set up to win, but if it’s 0-0 late on, I do wonder whether they’ll stick or twist.

We're sheff united, tear up the rule book, forget the it's and buts, were capable of beating anyone in this league and we've proved it, so this is down to how much the boys want it!
They will all be thinking about this today, they'll be nervous, they know what it means, they need to do what we've done all season, and make sure they get a result.
I'm hoping for a convincing win, I'm thinking a scrappy draw, I'm dreading an also ran loss!
Get em pumped up Chris, stoke the fires Knilly, and sing loud and proud Blades.
We can do this, were Sheff United!!
COYRAWW!!!!!!!

I'd like to Washington get a chance as a sub in this one. I think he's underrated and we know he's fast, Brum's defence, tired in the last 20 minutes could be exploited. This would give Washington a real confidence boost and then it's like we have a new striker for the final run in. Could be crucial.

Team for me :

HENDO

BALDOCK
BASH
EGAN
JOC/CRANIE
STEVENS

NORWOOD
FLECK

DUFFY

GOLDY
SHARP

Think to out football the Peakies tonight then we need both Duffy and Goldilox on from the start.

Later on we can bring on Hogan, Madine and Dowell.

I agree (apart from the 'happily take 0-0 now'). Our loss to Bristol City - while Norwich and Leeds were winning - will prove a critical blow for our auto chances. Too late in the season to make up those lost 3 points. We've got no wiggle room now, and if we lose tonight and Norwich win as expected, we're really up against it - it's another repeat of the Bristol weekend scenario. Plus, we will lose at least another of our last five games.

Sorry if you 'wouldn't want me in the trenches', just being realistic. Even if we win tonight, it's still going to be unbelievably tight.
