Adams is one of those players who seems a miles better prospect than he is because he's a young English player. He's had a good season but I think he'd be absolutely dog meat in the prem.

A win here would be massive but I would be happy with a point - especially if Weeds lose or draw tonight :D

It will be a very difficult game and a close one at that. I'm going for a feisty 1-1 (Adams & Sharp)

UTMB!

You’re aware he’s only 22 and has already developed way past what he was when we had him at the Lane? That’s not to say that he’d be guaranteed to continue that progression, but I would suggest the improvement so far coupled with his age would make it a distinct possibility. I for one look forward to another sell-on windfall for us.

Yes, I am aware. That's my argument. I don't think he's as good as everyone thinks he is. He has pace, power and can finish, but seems to be slow to react and doesn't have great footwork. I think he will get found out at a higher level

Is JOC fit?
"don't get why we can beat leeds but lose to QRR ,it confuses me", "we can beat anyone on our day in this division", because you are average , supporters of clubs always come out with this bollocks, of course you can and will it's been the same for 60 years or more, and why "in the championship" it's the same in any league, it's just that the better teams win more often and the crap teams lose more often but can still beat anybody "on thier day", palace won at City, it happens, I bloody hate football quotes that people churn out all the time, there you go "it's put a smile on my face" cheers Roy.

Pace, power and can finish but can't react and no footwork. Lukaku has made a top level career with those (lack of) attributes

Should’ve kept hold of him instead of virtually giving him away in todays money.

its like this guy doesnt even know what the blades are famous for
------------------------
i dont blame the Birmingham fans confidence, as they just beat leeds & were in playoffs contention before points deduction. they are easily capable to repeat when they beat us last year. we know that we will be under big pressure on Wednesday, either we need the points because they leeds drew/lost or to keep up as they won

ive got nothing bad to say about their fans, they were very helpful & had some nice chats pre & post match with there fans

You're from Birmingham ,aren't you

“They’d love to buy Che..."

Would we? First I've heard of it. Tha can keep him for me.

Not heard from anywhere that we'd want to buy him back so I'm puzzled with that one.

Cheers Roy.

Adams is a good player and he'll improve. People seem to mistake the personal dislike for him for what he said in parting with his ability as a footballer.

As for us giving him away, he was at the time a player with a little League One experience in a poor side. Selling players is part of the game, it's all about how you recruit the replacements. You can say it's another time we've missed out on bigger money by selling a player early, but clearing out the dead wood allowed Wilder to build the side he wanted and since Adams left we've been an unmitigated success. We have a lot of regrets at Bramall Lane, selling Adams shouldn't be one of them.

Not feeling too confident about this one, has Wilder ever beaten a Garry Monk team yet?

They may have put a lot of effort into keeping Leeds out.

20 years since we won there.. we are due one.

Doesn't have great footwork! Bang on, he was so frustrating to watch. Great strength, an eye for goal, but so little control. Maybe he's improved that since he left, or maybe he shoots from distance because he isn't able to get nearer to goal. Birmingham play to his abilities.

Che was/is fat, lazy, greedy.

Did you really have to say that the day before the game & alert the football Gods? You know, the ones who have put a stop to our ambitions for the last 40 years at least!
For what it is worth Adams has all the tools to make a real name for himself, perhaps only lacking in dedication & application so far, but you know those quotes that opposition fans say should be posted up on dressing room walls to make them want to ram the words down our throats? Well that is a perfect example right there.

Thanks Roy, fairly sensible comments for the most part, they remind me of us in being perennial underachievers from a big city.

Isntit 2009 since we beat them at all ? Very worried about this one and still have nightmares about last season when we were one up and they completely destroyed us. Also think about the 1st match of the season a few years ago when we played well but Philips scored in injury time
