Che Adams - Thank you

I was convinced Gallagher would score today when they brought him on, I’m now convinced Adams will score next game.

Che Adams is a great talent and will go well in the Premier League next season with whoever signs him. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in an England shirt in the next few years with Gareth Southgate’s encouraging enthusiasm to put youngsters in.

Still haven’t forgiven him for his poor form - retweeting negative Sheff Utd content from Wednesday fans after he left us etc.

Would love it if we signed him if we won promotion. He’s a great player with a big future ahead of him.

Not sure we would have £25 million to spend on just one player. £ 10 million for the JEC and and £15 million to get his ears pinned back. Would be the fastest player in the premiership.

Shocked at how good he's become to be honest, never thought he was anything than a very average player for us. Same for DCL, shows how much I know.

IF he continues the current short spell of applying himself.

Mostly down to the manager? I thought Che showed enough in his time with us to persevere. That brace v. Spurs on 21/1/15. Easily second-highest scorer (after Billy) with 11 goals in 2015-16. It could be that CW had enough on his plate when he came to United, maybe Che's 'reputation preceded him'? 22 goals for Brum this season, but I don't recall many saying we'd 'given him away' at the time. One that got away and exactly the kind of player we could do with now.

I think i said at the time that both the sale of Che and DCL were good business as they allowed us to bring other players in. Its fair enough having young developing players, but you also need to fill positions which will help the team improve. I think we did that with Che and DCL sales.

We also did it to an extent with Brooks.

I agree he’s good and getting better, but nowhere near good enough for the current England squad.

UTB.

What cracking bit of business that turned out to be.............

With the “big boys” not really fancying him. You have to wonder (If promoted) whether we’d be in a position to buy him back?

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is the fact that Adams plays in a 2 man strike team, something of a rarity in the PL. Other than Watford and Burnely, I'm struggling to think of another.
If he moves to a PL club, chances are he's going to have to adapt his game to play on his own.

He seems to have the talent, he definetly has the physical attributes. Time will tell if he has the intelligence and mentality to make the jump.

Don’t thank the lad too soon. He might get an hat trick in the week..........

That would be a very good move from a tactical point of view.

Spot on, playing for Watford allows a young player to play biggy balls in the London nightclubs, have a McMansion in Hertfordshire and drive a gold wrapped Lambo, without having the additional pressure of having to deliver on the highest stage for one of the top London clubs. Also you have Deeney and Gray to look up to. Both have some of the best tattoo collections in the prem.

I said tactical...

I’m sure DCL still isn’t anything special. The fact that he keeps consistently playing for Everton’s first team means I must be wrong though

Not a prayer according to Porktalk anyway.
If we do get promoted we won't spend any money, none of our players are good enough for the Premiership and we are going to get hammered 6-0 every week, we will also finish with the lowest Premiership points total ever.

Don't know why we are bothering really.
