Almost everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that WBA are on a run of form and also getting the rub of the green when it comes to decisions , a potent combination .

The latter is exemplified by the so called penalty they got against Brum which post match analysis showed was both outside the box and not even a foul . Of their seven remaining games only one can be described as truly difficult ( Brizzle away ) .

The rest include Rovrum , Millwall , Reading , Hull and Derby and I can only see them winning most , if not all of those .

Before I'm accused of being negative , as I was when I mentioned that the shit penalty decision could have an impact on us , I'm merely pointing out that there are 21 points still to play for and it would not be an overwhelming surprise if they gained more of them than either us or L*** s .

I hope I'm wrong , but to write them off at this stage is somewhat premature .

Things will change on a weekly basis ,all 3 played teams at home lower down the league at the weekend ,all 3 were -2 but all 3 games turned backwards and forwards all game ,throw shitty officials in the pot along with injuries and nerves ,it will really be a roller coaster. Form for opposition doesn't even count ,but all 3 have one very hard away game ,Leeds at Brentford ,us at Preston and WBA at Bristol ,anything can happen. I still think we will go up.

I think after the next 2 games we should know how many horses are in the race. If Leeds get 6 points I’d say West Brom are pretty much out of it. Whether we are or not would then depend on our results. But if we both fail to win the next 2 and WBA do, they will be bang in the race. I’d probably make them favourites if they got within a couple of points given the squad they have.

At this stage, the only thing I think we can say with a degree of certainty is that Norwich are up.

There's absolutely no way that Ollie Norwood saying "we're going for the title" is disrespectful. We were on a run of successive wins and, what, four points off top? Other players would find that comment par for the course in that position.

Derby & Millwall will give them a tough game I think and wouldn't surprise me if both take points off them

Agree that Bamford's interview after we won at Leeds was a bit precious and as a player, there must be something missing mentally given how his career has meandered despite clearly being a talented player.

When he said in reference to United, "If they can win their last 8 games, then good luck to them" , though, I can't deny that my first thought was that It would be absolutely typical if, in the event, that is exactly what Leeds go and do. And now, having blown it against Bristol City, there would be absolutely nothing we can do about it. The Dirties will slam the door in our faces.

Norwood has ambition to get promoted the best way possible and has won promotions back to back with different clubs. He hasn't come to us to coast along in the Championship for a decade.

I agree with this. If WBA beat us to 2nd place then Leeds and us will have crashed and burned dramatically. I think it's unlikely that we can drop 4 points on WBA and overtake Leeds, especially as I don't think WBA will win every game.

It's interesting that people will consider WBA still in the race when they are 6 points off 2nd but most write us off from taking 1st because we are 7 points off. Both can't be right.

I've never written West Brom out of it.

6 point swings happen all the time, it happened within a few minutes at Bramall Lane and Elland Road on Saturday.

Coupled with United's inability to ever do anything the simple straight forward, no stress way I firmly believe West Brom will close in on us, and maybe Leeds as well

No, my friend, I am certainly not overlooking West Brom. I was saying at the weekend they are still in this. Sacked Moore at the right time and have some good players.
