That’s not my point. Of course I want us to extend. A 5000 extension seems reasonable and modest. But how much will it cost and what affect could it have on a transfer budget? That’s what I’m thinking about.
If we went up it would be the perfect time to sort the Kop out, redo the South Stand (add some more commercial facilities?) and that ilk.
It would be a good idea to follow the example of Burnley, who went up but instead of throwing money around like Fulham actually invested a lot into stadium improvements, commercial facilities and a training ground redevelopment. Sure, they then got relegated, but kept their manager, the nucleus of their team and were much better-prepared with a larger revenue when they went up again the next season. And look at them now.
