Eh? I wasn't aware that this season had just been a battle between Leeds and Norwich which while we'd been watching on from the sides.

The only think that is quintessentially English about us is of holding dear values such as hard work and team ethic. The collective over the individual. On the tactical front, we're more continental than the continental clubs. Name me a club in Europe who is tactically more progressive than little old Sheffield United? On the sports science and analytical approach - we're the same. People may point to recruitment, but it's anything but evidence of an insular English mentality. There are very few clubs recruiting like us: the 'English way' is to scout and bring in players from abroad. We're the modernists, the footballing avante garde. At the cutting edge.

Edit: The writer's claim that we are overachieving needs to be qualified. By what metric? .According to statistical data we're underachieving in the games hence points tally. Of course you could bring budgets into the equation...

I understand why some people say we are over achieving, considering how much half the divsion have spent compared to us I actually think it's a praise for how wilder and knill have done, I accept it can sound a tad patronising depending maybe on who and how it is said but I take a lot of pride in it.

I get people being annoyed about the way it's written as us constantly chasing Norwich and Leeds, but I think it's written this way as a lot of media love in has been for those two, and for most of the season we have been just behind these two, rather than out of spite or trying to belittle us. We have been chasing Norwich and Leeds though.

That's the way it's been all season.

We were only briefly top in October, apart from that it's been Norwich and Leeds constantly switching between 1st and 2nd.
