What looked like a fairly trivial challenge got Chris Morgan a yellow card tonight and a one match ban ,which just so happens to come into force against Barnsley. I hope forces are not at work to keep Mr Chris Morgan out of the game which would have seen him possibly meet Mr Iain Hume in a game for the first time since that terrible accident.

Was thinking exactly the same.

Probably a good thing that he avoids the dingles.

Definite yellow for me. I thought it was untidy and intentional. I'm usually first out my seat when the ref blows/gives a yellow, but I just sat there and shrugged (that was my first reaction from the stands, I haven't seen a replay).

He's been on four bookings for a while now hasn't he? From before the Scunthorpe match I think.

Are Sky going to cancel showing the match now?

Let's face it, the only reason they were interested was because of the promise of some sensationalist reporting including analysing every little niggle during the game via "Morgan-cam" and interviews with Humes family during breaks in play about how they nearly lost him and how they can't believe Chris Morgan is allowed to continue playing football.

For this reason I think its funny that Morgan is suspended and Sky are now stuck with what will probably be a shit game of football played out in front of a stadium full of six-fingered gimps constantly chanting "Chrissy Morgan is a wanker, is a wanker".

Of course I would rather have Morgan playing in every game but when he plays the game like he does he's always going to get suspended at least once during the season.

It was a yellow card, lets not sugar coat it.

It was a bit soft though if the intention by Morgan was to get booked to miss the next game.

I'd have expected something more spectacular if he meant it.

We were disappointed that it robbed us of the chance to see what comical booking Morgs would create if he was still clean with 10 mins to go - last time it was a comedy throw in routine...

I don't think he meant to get booked, he wouldn't have done it so early in the game if he did.

The ref missed a blatant shove on Morgs seconds before he got booked, I think his tackle was just a reaction to that.

Absolutely no way that Morgan would deliberately miss the Barnsley game.

SSN were running the news that he was suspended on the ticker last night. I assume they do that for every player who gets 5 yellows?

A shame that the dirty little Canadian prick won't get his inevitable red card next week but I suppose you can't have everything.
