Did everything Hogan didn't. Tackled, harried, tracked back.
I agree but to be fair to hogan (not that he was great) he was up top on his own being our only outlet where as sharp had mcgoldrick.

Master stroke by wilder for the sharp substitute.

The minimum we should expect from a player is to work hard. Aside from the fact his touch was dogshit, he put in absolutely fuck all effort. Madine was a dick but at least he ran around a bit.

They’re very different players. Sharp, far from being the one-trick pony some of our fans have levelled at him (“when he doesn’t score, he really doesn’t contribute...”) is much more physical, can’t link the play, and leads the line. Hogan is a run into space type with a bit of pace - he’s not a lone striker, and it’s not his fault he was forced to do that today.

Super performance from the skipper tonight - both the first half and second half skippers.

Sharp is also fucking smart. Knows exactly how to force the error, win the FK that eases the pressure.

Kudos to CWAK for spotting the issue and making the change. IMO we don't win that if Sharp doesn't come on when he did.

I agree he wasn’t great but I still don’t think he has really had enough of a chance. His poor cutback/shot was frustrating though

Hogan did more than Madine and atleast now, you’re admitting his challenge was wrong.

A challenge is more than Hogan did all game. Yes the challenge was stupid, just thought it was a yellow.

Or 11 men without Madine

Depends on the opposition and the state of the match.
Madine has proven that in certain situations he gives us something we’ve not had before.
He gives Wilder an extra tactical option, which is a positive.
Of course the main 2 who work well together are the golden oldies Sharp and McGoldrick.

Can't blame Hogan that it didn't happen tonight. Exceptional circumstances. Take nothing away from Sharp though, he was the perfect player to have on the bench and Wilder played an absolute masterstroke in bringing him on. Just try to admire and relish this time Blades, we're witnessing greatness and a player you'll tell the grandkids about.

I'm glad they didn't accept our 4m , he will be on his way back
