After yesterday's incidents at Birmingham and Arsenal with pitch invaders going on and attacking players (yeah i know, first time you've heard of this)
I think stewards and how they operate seriously need to be looked at.
I know they get paid really little so they don't have a care in the world, but if so - then literally what is the point in paying them? I'm assuming due to health and safety regulations they are needed but they're basically only there to point people to their seats.
None of them know first aid, so it won't be anything to do with if anyone needs medical attention at a match, none of them are remotely bothered about being there (hoods up, watching the match or just staring into thin air)
I think it was at the game against Reading, a person ran on the pitch, walked past about 30 stewards who were all sat down, didn't even get off their seats. It boiled my piss. Do your fucking jobs.
There was only 1 who actually chased him, he was probably a steward supervisor... but literally what is the fucking point in having stewards if they are not doing their job of doing more than just pointing people to their seats.
They have stewards sat down at the bottom of the stairs, watching the match. Are they not supposed to be making sure that people are not about to run onto the pitch? You don't get paid to watch the football. We all pay to watch the football, you don't get to watch it for fucking free and do fuck all when it's actually time to do your job AND get paid for it too.
Don't care how little they get paid, if they want an increase they should start a fucking union and go on a march outside downing street. As they're not doing that, they're clearly alright with how much they get paid and should do their jobs.
