Glad to liked it.

For those with a more sophisticated taste -
Next week's Eating out reviews will feature Miller & Carter at Park Head and The Bank House at Hathasage.

Right then Mate. Forget all the previous suggestions because this is where you'll be going -

MOOR CAFE

Bottom of the Moor on Fitzwilliam Street (opposite national tyres)
Full english including tea or coffee and bread & butter or toast for just over a fiver.
Family run, warm welcome, very friendly and clean with quick service. Very relaxed and happy place.
You'll not beat it around the Moor area. Believe me, I know my cafes!
Park in cheese grater car park or wherever and its a short walk, turn right at bottom of the Moor.
Enjoy.
You're welcome.

Currently in there now. Brilliant. Thanks for the heads up. And thanks everyone else for your suggestions.

Googled Tampers..."Trendy, barista-run cafe-eatery serving carefully sourced coffees and New Zealand-style light bites."

Moor cafe wins by a country mile.

Jam åge Fjørtoft

djbaldken? Has to be Ken Moore, with the classic DJ line....anyone who's not up and dancing is wearing dirty underwear. lol

Hmmmmmm. Your avatar suggests someone around my era. Come on , I must know you, who are you?

New Zealand-style light bites? If I can’t get kiwi and bacon they can fuck right off. Twats.

And not fucking kiwi fruit either, proper actual flightless bird kiwi. Otherwise it’s as New Zealand as I am, which is not New Zealand in the slightest. Twats, again.

Mind if I whet your appetite?

Miller and carter - lovely steaks. Probably one of the best restaurants in Sheffield. 9/10. Only spoilt by them not doing any home made chips. Nice ambience too.

It's ok mate I've been a regular at M&C for a while. We liked it but the last time we went very recently it was very dissapointing. Out of the three main dishes we had, two were really quite poor. It was early afternoon and quite empty. It's put me off a bit tbh.

Oh and don't get me started on The Bank at Hathasage. Lets just say in my opinion the food and the service were overpriced & poor.

We just don't seem to have good eating places with good food in Sheffield.

I'm thinking of trying the VIP packages at the Lane. Does anyone rate the 3 course dinner in the family stand suite?

We've been there, thanks for recommend though. Nice in summer out there in the orangery. It's a bit far out though for weekday evenings. Just want somewhere to take visitors etc. Done all the so call better places like Vero Gusto and tbh I thought it a bit overated and nothing special. Doesn't have to be a fancy place, just decent food cooked well by someone that cares.

Here's a clue.......Pete Willis of Def Leppard fame used to sit behind me at work and you sat to my right.

F7......miss, following a Friday trip to the Moulders Rest

However, i am much much younger than you and far better looking hehe.

Cricketers arms opposite the ground does a blade breakfast which is breakfast and a pint, never eaten there before
