According to Wilder he shouted "keepers" and that was why Fleck didn't intercept the cross! the cheating git

I certainly suspected that. Especially as it was Hutchinson. Dirty bastard that he is.

It made no sense for Fleck not to clear it, he was well within reach without risking an own goal.

So their only chance in 3 games against us was cheated, not created.

Ha, it's funny either way. Wilder will have them lot spitting feathers that he dares accuse "Hutch" of being a cheat. If it is true then maybe he should concentrate on the technique of kicking a football into a goal from 5 yards out rather than being a little cheating twat.

Player trying to gain a advantage to win a game. Not an issue is it ? Billy falls to the floor too easily ( as does Madine). That is also cheating.

I am sure Sharp has done something similar in the past( as well as other strikers).

Have to be honest here... I'm not sure that's anything too different to what will happen in many a game. Fleck still shouldn't take a chance in that situation and just clear the bloody ball.
It is ungentlemanly conduct, a booking and free kick to opposing side. It's cheating, as is diving. It's also sneaky behaviour of the sort you see in pub leagues.
If your keeper calls for ball then you leave it when you have your back to goal.
It's cheating

I don't disagree, but the ref ain't going to hear everything a player says...

Don't take the chance, clear the ball.

Slightly different point, but shouldn’t Fleck be able to distinguish between the voice of his own keeper that he’s played alongside all season and a player he has barely heard before? Perhaps Hutchinson does a brilliant Hendo impression...

Anyone know....Do the laws of the game allow a player to speak to an opposition player (with the intent of gaining an advantage)?
I suspect not.

Fleck didn't have his back to goal, he was facing the keeper with the attacker behind him.

He's a prolific goalscorer after all cos he's scored all of 4 goals in the last three seasons.

What a shitty lot they all are.

Glad it didn't result in a goal anyhow, that would've been sickening.

As my old dearly departed Mum used to say 'cheats don't prosper'

Slightly embarrassed CW has even raised this to be honest...surely this kind of thing happens all the time....Fleck should have ignored any shout in that circumstance and planted the ball firmly in row Z.

I think it’s valid to explain why Fleck left it, as he had been criticised for it. Up till hearing that I thought it had been an inexplicable Fleck error – he’s effectively defended his player by giving the actual reason.

But then comes the times where our keeper genuinely shouts for the ball, the defender clears it and we all moan about lack of communication

Well we don't hear the communication do we. Even if it is Hendo shouting there and Fleck gets rid, all he has to do is turn round and say not taking the chance there Deano lad.

You can bet the next time the situation is remotely similar, Fleck gets rid. Luckily we got away with no harm done!

Understand that but at the same time I would be berating Fleck for falling for one of the oldest tricks in the book!

That's not cheating. It's shithousery, but it's not cheating.

You'd be chuffed if one of ours did that and it went in. It's a bit of gamesmanship. It happens.

It's against the rules of the game, deemed to be unsporting behaviour. If it's caught the player is booked and an indirect free-kick is given. So, yes, it is cheating.

I am off over to Porktalk, no doubt more Wilder slagging off and pictures of him pulling funny faces. Any bets on how many times he is called Scubber ?
While Hutchinson will be up for a knighthood.
They are already up in arms with the FA for looking into the bottle and coins throwing incidents, They feel they are being picked on, they feel the FA should leave them alone with them being one of England's finest and well respected clubs and now they have a proper manager in Brucie incharge.

This is no excuse for Fleck’s serious error. Mitigation maybe, but no defence.
