The Sunday League coaches from the Concord and Graves Parks teams might just see this as an ideal opportunity to show their mettle - it might also be a win-win, as it could keep them away from the shoutbox at the weekends where their mettle is open to scrutiny and ridicule.

Scouts still get paid for bringing players in who they sign, whether they're 7 or 17. I wouldn't be doing any of these things for free and neither should anyone else.

I'm fairly certain that would be against the law unless the player is over 16.

This is true and if outside the EU they need to be 18. Although tapping up players, in some cases as young as 11 does happen. See fines etc dished out to Liverpool, City, Barca and Madrid. Usually in the form of paying private school fees etc.
