Fair play to the pigs

Maybe you should give the Pork more credit?

Really? Apart from Fleck having a brain fart they never had a sniff. Wilder had big time options on the bench and didn't use them, Fleck for Dowell and Hogan for Sharp. I would love Billy to get his derby goal but facts are he was blowing out of his arse for the last 20 minutes. Too much long ball and sentiment, caught up i the moment mentality does not get automatic promotion. Big 2 points lost.

Cranie and McGoldrick changed the game we the had them on the back foot The ref was shite and obviously left his cards in the dressing room some of their challenges deserved cards Wednesday are a pile of garbage

Settle down lads, it was a poor game, not helped by the fact that the conditions were less than perfect and in no way helpful to playing in our usual style.

Add in the the fact that it was a derby and the obvious nervousness that induced in both teams, the less than beautiful game we had to endure wasn't that surprising was it?
It could have turned out far worse, they only had one decent effort but if that had gone in then we would be absolutely gutted wouldn't we?

John Egan summed it up perfectly by describing it as a scrappy game, and the fact that the ' man of the match ' was a home team central defender who should have had a penalty awarded against him said it all.

I've been a Blade for many years and have never yet enjoyed watching a derby match. Once they're over I might be happy we've come away with a result but during the match no.

Although I have serious reservations about the PL and how we would go on, I want to go up so as to avoid playing the delusional.

I just hope that we beat weeds in their own back yard and Billy gets the final goal in a 2-0 victory, emulating the strachan smugness and sitting on the advertising hoardings with arms raised Now that would be karma

We were garbage.

Wilder too scared of losing to try and win.

He wouldn't have set up like that against any other mid table team.
Took O'Connell 80 minutes to get on the overlap.

Nuff said

This nailed it

They did a job on us, and for most of the games stopped us overlapping, and when we did, they crowded the box.

They worked us out. Job for on for Tufty.
If
Agreed but if that’s all the teams on the petrify can must in a shot or bust play off push then it’s a poor division

Maybe mate. But look at our results in every other promotion season. A bit dissppointing that we didn’t stuff em tonight yes but history shows-we can’t be on it every game. I think we should accept it for what it was and (IMO) that was a good point and a good result against a form team. I reckon most fans of other clubs can’t understand why we Blades beat ourselves up

I thought from before the start that going without Duffy or McGoldrick was a mistake, and that the game would not suit Dowell's style. I also felt Cranie had done more than enough to warrant a start. Sticking with plan B for so long was maybe down to the amount of water - maybe not the night to play too much tippy-tappy, and certainly not playing it out from the back - though their game-plan was to press high and stop us doing that, and they did it well. I can't remember too many games where we have been outnumbered in the opposition box, but we always were tonight and they certainly set up to get bodies behind the ball. However, I thought we could have been a bit more ambitious going forward, but accept that Wilder might be a tad less shit or bust against that lot - losing to them is a very painful prospect for any Blades fan.
Still a point won I think - they were a better outfit than QPR right now and look what happened to Leeds last week!!

Fair play my arse, starting Madine over Goldy helped them, I personally felt they were dire and we let them off the hook with our long ball bollocks to Madine, our usual play would have destroyed them.

Oh - and while I think about it, we drew 0-0 at their place (with only a few games to go) on our way to the promised land with TC, Woody and Co. and I'm sure that had this technology been available back then the same type of "Ne're-Do-Wells" would have moaned about dropped points. We were the better team by some margin on that day, but John Hope saved a certain goal at the Leppings end late in the 2nd half. Chill out boys and girls, sit back and enjoy the ride!!

Wednesday at the best I have seen them won nil.nil against a very poor United.

Fair play to the pigs my arse. They were fucking shit. The only thing they succeeded in doing was to bring us down to their level with their niggly spoiling tactics. Any Blade giving them even one iota of credit wants his balls feeling.
