Fair play to the pigs

I hate when people on forums just post ‘pig’ as an accusation at anyone that posts something negative. It’s crazy and disrespectful.

However pal, you’re the worst Wednesday fan in disguise I’ve ever seen on this forum. Please go and rub some balls on owlstalk about how you won another 0-0 derby. So sad.

Ok let me clarify for you.

If I were a Wednesday fan, i’d be a mostly happy grunter tonight, albeit possibly rueing that a snatched victory was within the owls grasp.

Definitely two points dropped for us blades.

Better for you?

I reckon you're not only barking up the wrong tree with that one, you're actually in the wrong park.

Yes, well done to the pigs for drawing at home. Not beat us for fkin ages though have they?

We were garbage.

Wilder too scared of losing to try and win.

He wouldn't have set up like that against any other mid table team.
Took O'Connell 80 minutes to get on the overlap.

We weren't much different when McGoldrick came on in my view. Wasn't like we created any chances when he came on. Slightly less long but we were at our best when the crosses were coming from Norwood and Madine was our best chance of a goal. I think Wednesday's tactics made it hard, not us picking Madine. Dowell had an off day, as other have said, and our play very much relies on the number 10 playing well.

Is this a new definition of 'fair play'? Someone should let Madine know about it. Stonewall pen when he was wrestled to the ground.

They did a job on us, and for most of the games stopped us overlapping, and when we did, they crowded the box.

They worked us out. Job for on for Tufty.
Yep they played really well. Snuffed us out perfectly.

Didn’t think we were at our best, we were overly cautious and the line up didn’t allow us to be anything but robotic against a very well organised midtable side.

I’d have preferred to see McG on earlier and Duffy on as well, but we got a point

I think McGoldrick should have started to make us play it on the grass instead of lumping it to Madine as much as we did. We looked more dangerous and built better when he came on. It was a game for experience, so Duffy should have had a role at some stage. He would have run at them from a more central position, something we didn`t really have for most of the game. However, we can`t complain too much about a clean sheet away from home, and it took an almighty effort from the pigs to stop us . They were out on their feet with 10 minutes to go. I`m just glad it`s over with no real damage done.

Sorry mate, I love your posts but on this occasion think you’re talking out of your arse. This was a good point against a form team and only us Blades could beat ourselves up over it. We move on. UTB

Completely disagree.

If we had played the first 80 minutes as we did the last ten we would have won at a canter.

We just never got the ball down and played.

They were at home and needed to win to have a chance of the play offs. Surely they should have been working out how to break us down?

It's a better point for us than them

Roy you are a top poster but that is a better point for them. We are the better team and tonight we didn't show up which is poor to say we want a top 2 finish.

Fleck's a lucky man tonight. Not sure why he let their solitary decent cross past him...

That one moment aside, Blades' were the only ones playing half decent football tonight.
I don't think Wednesday strung three passes together all game, and from the outset they were just disrupting by wrestling and shirt-pulling.
Wasn't helped by a totally shite referee who should have stamped that out early.
Most of the ref's calls were from listening to the crowd.

I'd say Bruce has his work seriously cut out to turn that shower into a decent team. What a dreary, untalented outfit.

I just don't see how a home point that does absolutely nothing for your season is a better point than drawing away to put the automatic promotion race into your own hands. There is no logic to it being a better a point for them when it does absolutely nothing for them. Micheal Brown said it was a point gained, Carlos agreed and Wilder was happy with it.

You’re assuming that the first 80 minutes when all the player were fit are the same as the last 10 minutes when they’re all blowing out of their arses. Sorry but I can’t understand why some of our fans can just accept a good point and move on. If you knew better than Wilder and Knill you’d be managing the club Maidenhead, it’s easy to be wise after the event.

It will only be a point gained if we secure automatic promotion by a point. If we finish 3rd by a point it's 2 points lost. I just feel we had options to change the flow and go out and win that game.

I think we can definitely look at the reasons we didn't win and where we could have improved but I don't think it was 2 points dropped. I imagine the players will be as satisfied as the manager was. It could have been better but in a terrible, frantic game you take the point.

We got a good away point tonight against a team in the form of their season end of.

Anybody care to disagree? Are we different because we’re Blades? Some of this negative beating up does seem to be a Blades thing.

How is the automatic promotion race in our own hands? We are two points behind 2nd with the same amount of games played.

I rationalised the possible results to myself before it happened so I'm fine about it. I was at the Hawthorns and it was awesome, but I had bad vibes about this one so will take a point and move on. I'm just pleased it's over and done with. Didn't go and just avoided any contact with it until it was over. Let's get back to normality and playing to our strengths again.

Lets see if it's enough at the end of the season. TBH I don't care who we are playing if we under perform I will say it. Today we under performed. The occasion got in the way of the bigger picture tonight.

When you see Wednesday fans reactions to drawing, you do get the feeling we just love having a go a fuck all. I love a moan about United but tonight was a decent point coming off the West Brom win

Maybe you should give the Pork more credit?

Spot onGB

10 corners to 2 with a ref and lino that doesn't know what an obvious penalty looks like. Both teams had a good chance they hit one into Deano and the hit from Madine their keeper had the ball hit his chest /belly and bounce away . Madine will be disappointed that is usually his bread and butter.
Tough on Duffy and Hogan not getting on.
Although keeps them fresh for the next few games, including most important 6 pointer against weeds.
