Don’t take the TRAM

Back in the day, you could get a train from Midland Station to Wadsley Bridge, which was in later years only opened for football matches. That would have been helpful today, as it would have provided an alternative to the tram that doesn't pass through Porky Corner.
Wouldn't it have been from Victoria, not Midland?

I’ll be either getting the bus up from Ecclesfield or driving up to Foxhill and walking it down

If we boycott the trams, how will SYP ensure there's some kind of crush this time?

Put a big metal barrier somewhere down the road, reduce the number of tickets sold next year, triple the cost of policing for the day.

It might not guarantee results, but it's worth a try.

This thread will start to cause problems for SYP lurkers on this forum trying to find out what we are all doing before the match and how we intend to get to the game. I propose we give out coded messages from now on to avoid detection.

I intend to commence drinking on Monday in the pub of the one eyed sailor. Continuing the nautical theme I may move onto the pub with a similar name to Boat. My transport arrangements will either be by hackney carriage or alternatively by hailing a passing omni. :)

We’re going with a sign saying “Death to unbelievers” and burning several Flags of St George on the way. No problems at all.

Yes but after Victoria closed Wadsley Bridge was still open, and trains went from Midland...I think. I know I caught one once (not for a derby, could have been a semi final) and it wasn't from Victoria.

Don't take the tram

I'm working (in the City Centre) till 5.30, so it'll be a quick dash home to let the dog out and feed him then get into Hillsborough, hopefully nice and early so there's no risk of me missing KO.

For any lurking SYP interested in my movements.....

I usually have a shit around 11.30 most mornings.
