No personal disrespect meant, Fulwood Blade, but this is a truly shocking set of suggestions and I'll be mightily relieved when if we go up, Wilder and Knill do nothing of the sort!

none taken - the players were not necessarily my actually choices - it was an example of who might be available to a club that has jumped up 2 divisions in 3 years and who will have a limited spend. As someone posted a few days ago - Cahill may want 60K per week which is £3m per year. We are going to have to invest in either proven players with experience, in the same we we signed Stearman or we take a chance on potential. Either way is a gamble especially in Y1 of a Prem season and all we will have is whatever SKY gives us - not convinced much if any will come from the Prince or McCabe.

What I would suggest, even now, is that CW has a good idea of the places he knows need to be strengthened depending what division we will be in next season. It is probably a completely different list, but I expect them to be planning now. It is quite interesting that Duffy has started to get a few more rests since the JTW players have settled in. We are continually evolving or driving the club forward as he likes to tell us.

I couldn’t. Mainly because I’ve seen it and unless we change system he’s not suited to it. At QPR and 2nd half vs Middlesbrough he was sound defensively but added zero going forward. Even Cranie, historically a very defensive defender, has proved to be more adept at the attacking requirements of the RCB role. It’s simply not what Egan does well.

Don't particularly disagree about Egan. He's been fantastic in the centre this season - but, I don't believe Basham would be up to the job first and foremost and it's the solution to Basham that could be the problem in defence. Is there another player around with the RCB skills, so as to leave Egan in the centre - just better suited to the Prem? Perhaps a suggestion? I play devils advocate at times with situations of future players in what CW calls "driving the club forward" and what could be done.

It might all be bolocks anyway if CW reverted to his traditional 442 from the past. Where we go is of interest to me - it comes from not being satisfied even with Championship football and for sure I defo want us to be tested higher up. Can't do with this staying in the Championship because that's the type of club we are.

I really don't know how anyone who has watched us play for the past 12 months can say Dowell is a better player than Duffy.

I would rather compare the loan signing of Dowell to that of Woodburn.If Marco Silva had accepted our offer of a season long loan for Dowell,we would never have taken Woodburn in the first place and would probably be top by some distance.However,Duffy is very,very special and shouldn't be compared to any up and coming youngster,no matter how much promise they have,Duffy is like a good wine,just gets better with age,he will never let you down.

The difference is that the Premier League has some very good and expensive footballers from all over the world and we have to give ourselves a chance of staying in it.

I happen to believe that we are a number of key positions short if we manage to go up this season - that includes a very good GK, and I am not convinced Hendo has the experience yet, but could see it would be a possibility to go with him on another loan . A quality centre half and a quality goal scorer. Perhaps a centre midfield also, and I would as an initial suggestion, put Aaron Mooy in the frame, who may want to leave Huddersfield once they get relegated.

Huddersfield quite simply don't have the quality in the right places and clubs like ours should look at other clubs who have gone up and struggled. It will be touch and go whether Cardiff stay up and we certainly don't have the quality that Wolves had going up last season.

You may think we have sufficient quality - you may also think we could play 3-5-2 with attacking centre backs. You might be right, I just don't want to be a one season wonder again like 2006 - it really hurt.

Sometimes there is a whoosh - I could have kept it going but I don't think it would ever get there.

Either that or you could propose a change in the Laws whereby if you don't score more than you concede then you still win. A bit like at Hillsborough.
