People seem very quick to judge Washington, he's barely played. His first touch has been poor but he always puts a shift in and his touch (hopefully) will improve with game time. He's unlucky to have 4 fantastic strikers above him.

Really encouraging to see the views on Tyler Smith and Rhys Norrington-Davies. I know we've let a few academy products go out permanently but it sounds like perhaps we should hang onto these two.

With respect (to Smith I'm not trying to dis him) the views on Smith all appear to have been made after his '2 goal from the bench' performance, obviously he hasn't been able to keep the impact going. He was taken off after an hour the following game and has only had 15 minute sub appearances since.

Still can't fathom why we let Lafferty go out on loan rather than Kean Bryan. We've largely got away with JoC being injured so far, but if he's not available at the weekend we might not do so again.

No surprise to see Lafferty’s started well at Peterborough, who are in the promotion mix. He’s a very good player at L1 level.

He got a slight injury and is also cup tied so be interesting to see if he can break into the team now

Following on from the comment above I had a quick dig around Central Coast Mariners - have to say from the tone on the message board it seems like the boys have landed in the deep end and no mistake. Anger, Despair, Chaos seem the predominant emotions. The club are bottom of the league with 1 win all season the fans are utterly scathing about the club owners, fitness, tactics, just about everything really. If it doesn't break our boys it just might make them but I hope someone at the club is keeping a close eye on it.

In the midst of all this some comments on the message board led to some genuine LOL's for me - here's a good one -

You know, I always stuck up for Laurie after the way the club treated him , but he can get f**ked now ...as for Millar, here's to you getting a f**ked up ACL first day at training and your manager getting pinged by the drug squad
Oh and while I’m castigating moronic arseholes ..Shaun Mikelkamp...hand your credentials in you dribbling idiot....you couldn’t manage a good crap

Normally I'd be on your side about a player we've seen so little of, given how well McGoldrick and Sharp have done ahead of him, but when the manager goes out in the JTW and signs two strikers and then picks both of them ahead of you it really doesn't look like you have much of a future here.
