Jumping the gun a bit I know but assuming all fit and free from suspension it's going to be a difficult decision for CW.

For me Sharp has to play but who partners him. Mcg has been superb this season but Madine has been equally as good since he came in. Do we start with Madine and risk him being a bit too wound up but hopefully benefit from the 'ex player scores' syndrome or leave him on the bench to throw on later?

Also I'd be tempted to play both Duffy and Dowell from the start as I reckon fat boy Bruce will use similar tactics to what Basil Fawlty did.

Madine and Sharp are the go-to partnership away from home at the moment. That doesn't change.

The real question for me is who plays behind them, Duffy, McGoldrick or Dowell?

Madine was unplayable for Bolton when we gave him the dogs abuse, bet he repeats it against Wednesday if he plays.

It's definitely far from a formality but Bruce will know they can't out football us. I expect them to try and get to half time and still be in the game. They've had a sh1t season and losing to us would cap it off and that's why I think they would accept a draw.

The irony is if they are positive then it’s more likely they’ll lose.
They best option for them is to sit back and defend well, then score from a set piece or hope for a worldy.

Bruce is usually pragmatic and quite negative, so it will be interesting to see his approach.
Suspect they will initially give us tons of respect and sit back, then they’ll probably go for it and be more positive second half.

Yep, glad it's not me that has to tell McGoldrick he's being dropped having done nothing wrong but Madine did more than enough on Saturday to claim the shirt for WBA. If he does well there then he'll play again. Plus Madine playing against Wednesday sounds like too much fun to miss out on.

I think they will go for the win, they know it will impact our chance of the autos.
This will be a close game, but we should more than have enough up front to win it.

Don't see it, I think McGoldrick offers a hell of a lot from that role. Whenever he drops back there we look dangerous.
Take nothing away from Duffy he's the specialist but McGoldrick is extremely effective there with the added bonus of being a striker.

We looked frightening at times with that front 3 against Boro.

Agree. Great choice to have. McGoldrick is a clever player, but then so is Duffy

Wilder will most probably go with Sharp and Madine. Hogan will then replace Sharp after his 3rd goal .

I'm looking forward to the new, entertaining football that we've been promised under Bruce, at least that's what I thought a change in management was intended to facilitate?

Not that wendy have, in recent memory, been known for anything close to what might be called football that's easy on the eye, but surely they can't consider a defensive display on home turf to be a reward for their own fans? I see that a lot of pig threads are focused on next season and the proposed clear-out that they imagine will happen in the summer. Haven't they heard that their owner no longer wishes to put his hand in his pocket, rather he'd prefer that the fans sit at his feet and swallow his nonsense about having to turn to the supporters if new recruits are needed.

Sorry times at the Sty, and there's no sign of a positive change anytime soon. What with Chansiri fibbing about the value of offers for the pigs, and the supporters seeming increasingly gullible with anything that Chancer says, what's left is the capitulation of a fan-base that happily swallows the drivel of Chansiri's propaganda machine. Their fans are far too timid to admit they've been taken to the cleaners, but that's exactly what's happened. They continue to be squeezed like the lemons they are, and the recruitment of Bruce is testament to the desperation and inept ownership that masquerades as a forward thinking club.

One of the most worrying comments I've seen posted quite regularly on Porktalk is that they must follow our lead and spend less. The trouble with this is not one single poster seems to have grasped the point that Wilder had no option other than to spend low. Given the chance he'd have spent big, yet they imagine this was a carefully constructed scheme to enable the Blades to progress. What they also fail to understand is that Wilder and Knill know exactly what they want when it comes to building a great team. Ask any Villa fan about Bruce's recruitment, you'll soon discover that he never had a clue about how to build a promotion chasing team. Bruce failed to make the most of Hogan's talents, yet under Wilder Hogan is beginning to flourish. there's far more of course, but surely they must be a little concerned, and that's before Chancer once more pedals the same line that if the fans want success they have to understand that is costs...in other words, 'cough up you stupid fools'.
