Jumping the gun a bit I know but assuming all fit and free from suspension it's going to be a difficult decision for CW.

For me Sharp has to play but who partners him. Mcg has been superb this season but Madine has been equally as good since he came in. Do we start with Madine and risk him being a bit too wound up but hopefully benefit from the 'ex player scores' syndrome or leave him on the bench to throw on later?

Also I'd be tempted to play both Duffy and Dowell from the start as I reckon fat boy Bruce will use similar tactics to what Basil Fawlty did.

Duffy, with Dowell to come on in the second half. Wednesday will park the proverbial bus and I think we'll need Duffy to help unlock them.

I think McGoldrick is just as capable of doing that in fairness, it's really touch and go but I definitely expect Madine and Sharp to start upfront

I hear you but, for me, Duffy is comfortably better in that role than McGoldrick.

Don't see it, I think McGoldrick offers a hell of a lot from that role. Whenever he drops back there we look dangerous.
Take nothing away from Duffy he's the specialist but McGoldrick is extremely effective there with the added bonus of being a striker.

We looked frightening at times with that front 3 against Boro.

Sharp and Madine for me. Cant not play Billy, and Madine is made for this type of game. We’ve then got Hogans pace to bring on and McG as an option to change it up.

If fit Madine starts that came before anyone else for two reasons 1) being an ex player and the fear the pigs have regarding him scoring 2) his aerial strength will be needed against Hector / Lees as at the lane we ended up lumping it and those two had a field day. Hogan will have a point to prove to Bruce too, after the way his spell went at Villa

Duffy struggled against a solid and physical Boro defence, McGoldrick was better against them.

He missed out last season there which was a shame imo and given his wonderful scoring record this season has to be allowed the opportunity to score at the rust bucket.

Think Duffy does struggle against packed defences sometimes, where McGoldrick has a bit more physical power and brute force to open doors from the same positions. They're both incredibly clever with great footwork.

No surprise we saw vintage Duffy again on saturday in an open game.

Duffy has had 3/4 dodgy games in a row, however he has back to his best against Reading, found acres of space and played some lovely through balls.

I can see Madine getting amongst the goals, just like Leon I can see him haunting them..

Agreed, the shirt is Madine's to lose so unless something transpires at WBA, he's in on merit. Hogan was busy on Sat but didn't do enough to dislodge Sharp.

Should things not go to plan at the sty, we've one hell of a bench to turn to.

Hogan comes on ten minutes left to make it 3-0 after Billy and Madine have scored.

Start with Sharp and Madine as this pair can (I think) ruffle them up physically and mentally. Overall they are still a fragile bunch and the Bladey Blade and ex/reformed pig/ traitor will get under the crowds skin. The prospect of either scoring will have them shitting themselves. Either McG of Duff in behind, don't mind which as either run rings around Hutchinson/Hector and is likely to draw fouls. Don't rule out another early penalty.

To change it up we have Dowell, but I have to say that Duffy threading balls behind for Hogan's pace, as he played of the defender's shoulder showed some real promise on Saturday.

I don’t think they will park the bus. This is their one and only opportunity to salvage an awful season. They’ll be “well up for it” and come roaring at us. The game is far from a formality.

Duffy has a better touch, pass and vision, in my opinion. He's got quicker feet too which is helpful in creating space. McG only shades it on strength and goal threat.
