Pinchy
Blade, not Bladey.
Any proof for that libelous accusation?
If there is proof (and I’m quite sure there is) it isn’t libellous. At least one newspaper would have been sued by now.

Any proof for that libelous accusation?
You said the same thing about £50m rated David Brooks
You don't have to prove your innocence, as I'm sure you know. Can you link to a newspaper report which makes the claim and therefore would have been sued by now?If there is proof (and I’m quite sure there is) it isn’t libellous. At least one newspaper would have been sued by now.
You did and i didnt say anyone was offering 50m for himI didn’t and nobody is offering £50m for him. Apart from that, you’re spot-on.
If you admire Little Louis Vanarama so much, pop off and watch Posh next time he’s playing. You may have a bit of a wait whilst they unglue him from his league one bench.

I never mentioned Louis reed either
Well you answered my post! All I know is this: The Star which is 2004 and says the charge was withdrawn. Are you saying there was another incident many years ago?Given that it was pre-internet I would have the greatest difficulty in finding any evidence immediately. If I needed to I would get it. I think you’re chasing the wrong hare. I didn’t make the claim.
Do you know all about it?
You assumed the fact that he was local that many on here rated the lad higher than you did.At no time did I want Reed to fail. I simply realised early doors that to which Bladey Boybanders closed their eyes. He wasn’t good enough for us. People then started wishing on as many lucky stars that they could possibly wish upon, that he could be good enough one day. They pretended he was better than he was. They added a large percentage to his actual ability, simply because he was local.
I can’t emphasise enough. We’re a professional football club, not the X-factor.
Again, answer the point. We’d have a very poor team in perpetuity if that was the test.

Too many contradictions for me to answer there I'm afraidWhat do you suggest I said about Brooks? I may well have said he wasn’t good enough to have a regular starting place at the time he was with us. That was correct. He wasn’t. Tufty would have selected him if he were.
How can Brooks be rated at £50m in the absence of an offer? I rate my car at £100,000. I’ve had no such offers but it remains rated at that level.
Well said, but the fact remains he is a bit of a twat.Madine has been excellent in every appearance he's made for us. That was always the criteria required for winning Blades fans over, much like every single player we've ever signed. Rumours of a divided fanbase were grossly exaggerated by the hand wringers on here. The vast majority of people couldn't care less about any off the field activities. Football has never been a place for puitanism; that's the preserve of the the Church and the gossip columns. There seems to be a growing constituency that think footballers should set the moral standards for an individual club, and by extension the whole of society. Yes, footballers...A player that has trespassed can never redeem themselves or enjoy gainful employment via their chosen profession because they set the standards. The fans are the moral arbitrators who can decide whether a player is worthy based on his morals - not the club or manager. It's laughable.
Again, answer the point.
Your attempt at sarcasm is something to behold but just answer the point.
Well said, but the fact remains he is a bit of a twat.
Employ him, god hopes he fires us to the Premier League but for some he will always be a twat.
That said, I honestly have no issue with any supporter who worships every move he makes.
It is all about opinions....
In my opinion football players in this day and age are roll models for kids. Go and watch Sunday league and you will see kids acting out all the good and bad in today’s game.
Said player did assault one of our own in fairness.Insult one of our own players, you mean?
Once again...... you are talking shite. What “bad” are they acting out as a result of watching Gary Madine play for United?

Maybe harsh on my part .I agree he's a role model, but only for what he does on the pitch. I'd question whether he "remains a bit of a twat". Maybe he just made a few mistakes when he was a young man? I've never met the fella, so couldn't possibly comment.

I do though think players are role models on and off the pitch. Difficult job I agree but it’s part of the job non the less.
Once again...... you are talking shite.
Where have I said anyone is”bad” for supporting Madine.
If you look at the post I said exactly the opposite in that I have no issue at all with anyone supporting him due to the fact it is all about opinions.....
If Billy can move on, who the fuck are we to hold some sort of whiter than white moral stance?I like a bit of redemption.
Here is Madine who has been less than an angel.. and here he is, training and playing and producing with the very people he got along with least.
And yet, the bleeding hearts are wringing their hands still. It's pathetic. If a man like Madine can move on, it's says volumes of those who can't.
I'm often intrigued how the moral outrage online is utterly not reflected in the real world.
(Obvs, if he chins Billy on a Peroni-fuelled night out.. all the above counts for nothing)
In your early 20s you think you are invincible. With a beer or 2 inside you this feeling is exaggerated. Earning 5 grand a week you probably think you are the dogs bollocks. Few people around you telling you how great you are and you can see how you might feel untouchable.
I’m not defending what he did but I can see how things might develop. He made a massive mistake but has paid the penalty for his crime and seems to have sorted himself out with respect to attitude and willingness to get the best out of his talent.
Probably to differing degrees, who hasn’t done something or said something that they regret when they’ve had too much beer.
There is a tariff to every crime and every profession or job has a way in which it reacts and responds to crime. In my profession it would be the end of my career. Football gives players a second chance after the penalty has been paid.
All I know is that we have another centre forward who can score goals and use his physical presence to make life tough for opposition defenders. You can be sure that the managers of our future opponents can’t just have a defensive plan A when we play them and for this you should be pleased we have Madine.
That was the link I put up. It says the charge was dropped. The post I was questioning claimed he had been convicted of assaulting his wife. This article shows that he wasn't.
