Been a few threads over time on here about this and how it would be a great way to boost vocal support "fot lads".
Like a lot of you I'm watching Donny v Palace and to be honest I find the constant Palace "ultra singing section" every bit as boring as those cunts at the death trap that play the great escape.
Self indulgent wankers IMO. Nothing remotely spontaneous or original.
Fuck a singing section.

What’s spontaneous, authentic, or original about a bunch of middle aged Yorkshiremen sitting in silence?

Really find it hard to understand these objections to people trying to make some noise.

You an empty vessel?

Thought yesterday was ok, especially considering the small away following and lack of noise.

Manufactured 'false noise' can be a bit ice hockey. May as well get clappers and horns.

Nothing beats rustic passion. You don't get that every week in this country anywhere. It usually takes the occasion or incidents during the game to spark that.

The early goal probably helped yesterday. We'd all like to see great atmospheres more often but I honestly think a few are a little unrealistic about what should be expected, and what happens elsewhere.

I see a Reading fan commented that they always liked coming to the Lane, with one reason being the atmosphere.

It doesn’t have to be a song-along-a footy fan type thing that Palace have.

The idea could just to give those like minded people a chance to congregate, and not be broken up by the huge majority of cardboard cutouts on the kop.

I know you did. It's just that plenty of stupid fucks like to mock it, based on their incorrect interpretations and ignorance of some of the reasons why it didn't work.

The idea was right and you gave it your all. You were let down
It's easy for idiots to criticise. They never get off their fat arses and actually do anything themselves.

That’s exactly what you were trying to do, you said.

Go on then. Show me where I said 'let's copy Palace' and suggested the same sort of noise and behaviour.

Yeh but he wanted all those clapper things and foam fingers etc. I’m not into all that.

Ahhhh! Nearly got me. Now I see you're taking the piss.

How are they self indulgent just seem like a few fans singing a few songs

I put this on another thread, but if we want to do anything now, my suggestion would be to gather on the steps at the back of the Kop, under the gangway 'E' entrance, on both sides. About 30 could squeeze in there and it would be enough to wake up that area of the Kop and join with block G to the right. I understand that there's not much urgency though, as it's not like we've got much to play for.

In fairness I didn't see Ricky advocating those things.

If I recall correctly he mentioned Palace in relation to “starting small”. As he can tell you, l’ve criticised the CP ultras more than once but t I can’t recall him defending then when I have.
