That’s a particularly pleasing watch, and makes up for the Parkinson interview we were starved of the other week after he sent his assistant out. What a miserable git – this evening’s result was largely his own making.
Yes. That video is certainly better than the first half (missed the first 10 minutes or so). Poor Boro fans having that tool in charge.

cheers Roy

“We are a horrible, horrible side to watch, it would be a travesty if this team went up playing this negative boring football and with this dinosaur in charge.”

this 100%

they are a horrible , awful team to watch and Pulis is a little cretin - you got beaten by a far better team with a far far far better management team

if it wasnt bad enough for them having to live in Boro they have that to watch at the weekends ! bad bad times up in that shite hole

Imo teams like them and the way they play is my main gripe with this league as it does seem to work for some teams to play like that every game and be nearer the top - although i can think of another team who play very similar and a bit lower down ( although on a thrilling 0-0 run ) and only 18 points behind 3rd place !

Boro fan in peace.

I think any Boro fans who are blaming the referee for the defeat need a reality check. From the away end it looked a clear foul on Madine that wasn't given and United were well on top for 15 minutes until they finally scored. I would personally say that the referee was typical Championship standard (shite), but if anything I think we got the better of his decisions.

It's nice to read some posts saying they feel sorry for us having to watch that shite. It's kinda soul destroying watching your team set up with 5 at the back and 4 central midfielders in front of them week in, week out, regardless of opposition (Wednesday at home, Millwall at home). To listen to our manager you would think we don't have the players to play any other way, which is clearly bollocks.

Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season.

I still think Boro could go up via the playoffs. But it’ll be tough unless the manager introduces some pace and attacking intent from midfield. Mikel has incredible pedigree but he’s the midfield anchor that should enable others to advance. But there’s no bugger for him to give the ball to.

Assombalonga next to Hugill could be pretty formidable.

The funny thing is, they have pace all over the field, they just don't play in a way that utilises it. Assombolonga, Wing, Howson...even the likes of Shotton and Friend aren't slouches.

Totally understand now why they are so unhappy, watching that boring shite. Even at 1-0, did they ever look like getting back into it? One shot after we lost possession, that's it.

Special mention for Hugill, who was utter garbage. Well played to Wet Spam for paying £10m for him and then never playing him, Preston had their pants down big style.
I was talking to a Boro fan about Hugill and he says he works his bollocks off but as Pulis only plays one up he never gets any support. He blames Pulis not Hugill

“Sheff United players spent more time on the floor tonight than my carpet”

only because your players dragged us down

“Surprised the officials decided to leave their Shef Utd gear at home. Their fans were giving them grief but everything went their way. Don’t think the referee could’ve given them more, might have gone to his house and found his Sheff Utd bed set. ”

its amazing how he can be so blind, we couldve had 2 penalties & a free kick in that 5 min spell. when we got blatantly dragged down

It's completely staggering, even for him, that Pulis didn't go for the win at any stage with our significantly weakened team and the way we finished the Villa game.

Almost a sackable offence on its own. Maybe that's his aim.
yes its an awful drive to work sandbanks to teeside every morning so I can understand his reluctance to continue ,

I can't see us going up via the playoffs - we had more chance last season but Pulis successfully defended a 1-0 deficit throughout the second leg (no shots on target in a must win game) and Villa progressed at a canter. Steve Bruce (fat geordie bastard) stopped our "give the ball to Traore and hope he can do something" tactic and that was all she wrote.

Tony Pulis does not introduce pace and attacking intent from midfield. He tries to set up for a 0-0 and nick a goal from a set-piece. :( It's quite funny watching a game like last night where one team are busting a gut to win and the other is trying desperately for a 0-0. You would think United were the expensively assembled squad and that Boro were the recently promoted side.

I’ll be honest and say I’d have taken a draw last night given the loss of two mainstay defenders. The fact Pulis didn’t seek to exploit that was inexplicable.

And yeah I remember that Villa game. I can’t rationalise that either!

Awful side to watch. Shotton is a lower-league clogger who happens to be able to throw the ball a long way. That seems to be their main attacking weapon. Don't understand why they leave Assombalonga on the bench when he's clearly their best striker.
Fleck's tackle nowhere near a red card - he did slide in but both feet were on the ground and he took the ball. The tackle that took Baldock out was worse. But Pulis and his staff waded in to try and get Fleck sent off.
In the end Boro got what they deserved - nothing.

Missing two mainstay defenders, keeper probably low on confidence after a really poor performance on Friday night....no worries, 5 at the back, 4 central midfielders. It's almost like he goes out of his way to not exploit potential opponent weaknesses. He's like the opposite of Wilder.

I actually thought there was something to admire in what Pulis did at Stoke, but his management style was bound to obey the law of diminishing returns.

I have quite a lot of time for Boro as a club and some affinity with Middlesbrough the place which it seems to me is the mirror image of Sheffield in that it was an unglamorous but gritty, productive city until the Tories fucked it over in the 80s and Mr Tony completed the job in the 90s. They deserve better than what Pulis is offering them at present.

I would love to know what Pulis' thoughts were after Madines performance. He's the most Pulis player ever

Thank God for Chris Wilder who tells it like it is, rather than this sour grape chewing toss pot. Flecks challenge wasn't even a yellow.

Pulis knows his time has been and gone. I've more chance of managing in the Premier League than he has again. He'll get found out soon, get his pay off and sink into punditry.

Too right TC, Boro should be walking this league but are being held back by this Dinosaur, good in his time but not any more I'm afraid.

Can't see Pulis lasting another season if they fail in the playoffs again.

Feel abit sorry for Boro fans having to put up with Pulisball. You ain't got a prayer of getting Wilder though!

I know a few Boro lads and they are unanimous in their dislike of Pulisball. They usually say it like it is , unless you disrespect their club or town, then as you would expect they go on the defensive. Very loyal to their club. They can't wait for a new manager and style of play. Pulis is an upmarket Blackwell, just a bit more media savvy and experience.

Very much agree about the Blackwell comparison.
They are generally crap but have this habit of pulling out good results.

Fleck gets a yellow and yet we got the free kick. How did that happen?
