I thought the first half we were poor in supporting the team, given the importance of the game.

We're bang central in the middle of the Kop and try to pick up stuff from the back to get the statues in front of us joining in.
The second half was different as if even the plastics realised the team needed some support.

A bit disappointed that our "Bryan Robson and Brian Kidd" chant didn't really catch on....

Sounded pretty flat on iFollow until Madine’s penalty shout and after that sounded like it was rocking. We just need one bad refereeing decision at every home game till the end of the season...
Piece of piss that, been that way since 1889..

Great from the off? Jesus, by what standard?

It picked up in the second half, with our friend Mr Referee doing a job for us again.

I was delighted when he started giving a few decisions against us. The useless cunt.

great from the off.

Wilder got us going second half when he tore down the toucine to get the ball.

Not often I leave the Lane with my ears ringing

GET IN!

I’ve probably gone over the top there to be fair. Still giddy after the win aren’t I! Definelty better second half.

One thing the crowd got right from the beginning was in supporting Henderson. He started very positively - credit to the back room staff and the lad himself - and the crowd backed him very clearly. Important match for the Blades, and vital for Deano's career after Villa. He came through with flying colours.

It will always be shyte if nobody joins in. Too many on their phones looking at social media. There's a core of about 20 back right kop that try to get it going. But if no one is bothered thethen it's a fade away. Join in people, you've paid for the experience, well fucking enjoy it and go home knowing you've been to a game.
COYRAWW.

Thought the crowd was really poor apart from clearly backing Henderson. Then the ref made a few poor decisions. Booked Norwood for a fairly innocuous foul then 2 minutes later Baldock was taken out by a horrendous challenge (far worse than Norwood’s) as a result of which he went off injured and no booking for the Boro player. Then he made our player take a throw from 2 yards back but allowed them to pinch at least 5 yards a minute later, then he ignored Madine being dragged back in the penalty area. The net result was the whole crowd got incensed and “woke up” and got behind the team at last. It was the same in the Derby County game when Didsey was clearly pushed in the back but no pen given, then Derby get a free kick at the other end and Wilson scores. All of a sudden the crowd got right behind the team!

Nothing like a sense of injustice from the ref to get us going. Thanks ref for being a complete tw-t!

Don’t really know what some expect. We probably are louder than most in this division at home. Doesn’t say a lot but that’s the reality.

It would be really easy for us to bribe referees and get away with it - because we'd just ask him to give a couple of ridiculous petty decisions against us in the second half. No one suspects a thing!

When Norwood wasted the free kick he didn't look happy, he threw his bottle across the dugout!

Yeah I noticed that. Actually thought it was another incident. Let us down, he should have twatted Pulis

Didn't sound that great on the kop

i thought it was the usual, 1st half was bit quiet & 2nd half then it gets going

I’m no fan of our fans, as most of you know, but I’ve watched the sky coverage and it sounded great second half. Very little vocal support from the away fans, by contrast.

Not a game to get the heart racing of itself as it turned out, so I’m giving the crowd a 7.

He still looked a bit dodgy to me

One save second half when he parried it straight back into danger but apart from that came back brilliantly and commanded his area for the most part. Remember that most keepers don’t really mature until they are late 20’s so for a lad of his age to (a) admit the blame at the end if the Villa game (b) come back with a pretty much rock solid performance says a lot. If we meet our goal, make the lad our first signing !

Genuine question aimed at some of the older blades on here. I remember the atmosphere being great 15-20 years ago even with smaller crowds, I was 10-15 years old at the time, my dad and his mates were always singing and shouting, however they have mellowed at the game as they've got older. Is the atmosphere dropping a case of some of our older generation mellowing and the younger fans not filling the gap in terms of atmosphere generation. I haven't been to a game for 4 years owing to living abroad but I definitely noticed a change over the years....

It was better back then because (and here you're going to stay with me) fans turned up, paid their money, watched the match and (usually) supported the team. What's changed since then? Generation **** (of all ages) who can't stop gawping at their fucking phones.
