both Hendo and JOC.

I didn’t watch the closing minutes of the game on Friday and even then I watched on ‘stream’. Saw it tonight and I believe that when JOC miskicked, yes miskicked and not tried summat fancy, he said sorry to his team mates, or that is what it looked like he said to me. As for Hendo, he was indicating that it was his fault. A 22 year old who willingly admits his mistakes and openly takes the blame in front of 2000 Unitedites, has goolies as big as a size 5 Fridomaster! He has accepted responsibility and will feel like shit. Let’s get behind him, accept his apology and help him grow into a better keeper. Similarly for JOC. He is big enough to grow back into his role but he doesn’t need slaughtering as he will be beating himself up already. Let’s get behind them both and give them respect for ‘owning up’.

There! Got that off my chest. Thank you.

JOC had an immense game up until that moment. I said in the shout box he had no place playing in this league (commentators curse at it's finest). He won everything, cleared everything, was an absolute monster all game... until..

The whole team sinks or swims together which is why the unity and harmony in the dressing room is so good and out there on the pitch....a vital ingredient thats often undervalued.

And the two teams that appear to have that more than anyone else in the Championship currently are the Blades and Norwich.

Noticed that when Stevens was pointing an accusing finger at Hendo, looked like there was plenty of love between them.

No one knows, maybe Hendo was having a go at JoC and Stevens was pulling him up on it?

Families/friends who don't let petty arguments fester are the ones who get along best, no back stabbed, no cliques and no hidden agendas.

The good news is JOC hasn't played over 100 consecutive league games and attracted interest from Prem clubs because he's shit. He is consistently one of our best players. It's just unfortunate that a genuine error ends up in a significant goal for the opposition; 9 times out of 10 he would have got away with it.

It seems the common trend to micro analyse every detail in football nowadays and I was determined at the start of the season not to get too involved in this and look at the whole season, the big picture as you might say. Picking on players for individual mistakes or the odd bad game just seems pointless and negative. I’ll leave the removal of poorer players over time to the management team, I’m sure they know a bit more about it than I do.
The core of our squad are there on merit and are top of the championship players, on form and actually playing decent football. Some people need to get a grip, what’s not to like.
I’m really enjoying this season and look forward to the next game. Yeah, there’s ups and downs but that’s the beauty of football.
We don’t seem to do “top of the league” for some strange reason, and admittedly it comes with a lot of pressure. Other teams have faulted throughout the season and there doesn’t seem to be a runaway leader like previous years, but..... the best time to pop into the top 2 slots has got to be in the last few games. If we’re thereabouts around the Hull and Ipswich games I fancy we have a chance.
Anyway, come on Ipswich, do us a favour, it’s a local derby you know! UTB

fear spreads like a virus.

although i’m deeply disappointed by the outcome i’m able to recognise it would have taken someone with exceptional mental fortitude not to have been rattled in the concluding minutes of the game at villa. it’s a team game and all the players need to take a look at themselves.

hopefully, lesson learned by players and management alike, on to three points against middlesborough...!

Well said, read some real nonsense on here the last couple of days about the character of Hendo in particular.

They're both big enough to realise that they made mistakes and get my backing 100%

Agree with above regarding player off/mistake days, unfortunate that two of our normally reliable players (OK there was Leeds) have a bad spell at the end of the game - that's football for yer
