Totally agree. Leaves a bad taste for me signing this bloke. I'm hopeful he'll spark something (and I don't mean riots if he's awful) but it is hard to think of a player who least wanted to play for us than this bloke. I don't care how strong agents are, Camara could have said I want to join them. He didn't, he and/or agents thought they could do better elsewhere.

I assume he doesn't play for Senegal any more? Be a bit of a downer if he clears off for a month in January.

Pleased to see he's only got a deal until the end of the season, very sensible approach.

I think it's a question that should be raised in the next interview with McCabe.
I know we are struggling but I 100% support the board with not paying extra for the agent to sugar coat the deal. I hope to god we haven't backed down on this especially for such an average player.
That's not a dig at the guy if he's a Blade now then he'll get the support he deserves however I would say judging him on his record it is a fair description of the mans abilities. I would be only too happy if he proves me wrong though.

Hopefully that won't be a similar welcome to what Cresswell got.

Its a new manager we need signed !

cheap as chips wud confuse Ronaldo and Co.

We set the bar so ridiculously low with no intention of making doing deals, its easy for us to 'court' the signings of players during transfer windows, in much the same way that we simply 'cannot stand in the way of....' (the Kyle's, Killa ad infinitum). That way we can have everyone from the Blue Sq to the Bernebau and lament their non-signings accordingly whilst being seen to make the effort. Thats why we look like such bloody hypocrites when we sell the Beatties for the good fo the club or have to do a 180degree spin on signing people we have bad mouthed.

I should know better than dignifying your post with a response but what about Richard Cresswell?

(Hopefully I'm too young for you to bully me  )

Leyroy Lita & Tommy Smith to name two of the top of my head.

Well I think most sensible Blades would agree that welcome was a disgrace.
Cresswell seems to actually want to wear the shirt despite the idiots in the crowd.

Now we have the pace upfront and I still think we have the basis of a top championship team in our squad, we just have to see if Blackie can now see this into fruition.

its alreight he's in it for the money.........an the woefull management at BDTBL have fcuked up again.

Why is everyone so quick to assume that we've 'caved in' to his wage demands? This isn't the first time that a team have dropped their interest in him due to him wanting too much money, only for him to sign for them later.

Seems to me more likely that his agent was trying to rinse us for us much as he could get, but when no other offers were forthcoming he had to lower his demands.

I wonder about his fitness though, will he need a month to be match fit? Hope he's hungry and eager to prove he still can play at a high level.

Like others I am also pleased that we've only given him a contract for this season.

Why have the management fucked up again?

If we have caved in to his demands then I would be disappointed in the board but why would it be a fuck up?

We are short on strikers, we need a pacey front man, we have signed one.

I'm not saying he is going to be Shearer but given the limited options out there, plus the fact that we need a player of his type why is it a mistake before he has even kicked a ball?

Agree with Bergen on the fitness issue, I would think a run out from the bench on Saturday will be the best we get.

Fantastic signing in all honesty. Bit of pace up front and finally another option.

The question now is.... will we utilise it.

Yes the bench will now be fully utilised he'll be able to chat with Ched Evans as to why they don't get a start after being major signings with sympathetic support from Cotterill whilst Hendo commits his 25th foul against Cardiff in the 30th minute.

This signing almost certainly means Killa will be going in January and I would be tempted to see if we can offload Ched at the same time to raise some more money for reinforcements.
The worrying side to it all is that we are acquiring old players despite whatever nonsense is coming out of the Lane about youth.
That needs to be addressed and another Ward-type signing from a lower division club would be a good move in January.

So signing a Striker = Selling a defender!
That makes sense????!?!?!

Also why sell Evans? He's 20 and got the weight of a lot of United fans expectations on his shoulders because of his price tag (which looking at most Forwards prices is a pittance).

You've written him off before he has had chance to play in a fully fit United team with all our 1st choice players in their correct positions.

You are worried about youth while in the same breath wanting to bomb out Ched?

Also I don't see how bringing in a striker means a defender is leaving.

Don't misunderstand me I firmly believe Killa is on his way because he wants more than we can pay but I don't think this signing is a indication of that.

Hey, Henri is a big strong lad and he's quick ....... he could play at centre back!!?? I'm sure he's got a big boot on him and he can ping it up to Henderson. No worries, get Kilgallon on his bike. New dream team

They all come for the money and nothing else. Don't hold this against an individual, he's just like everyone else.

LOL - you can always find a negative angle to excite you...:p

got to smile at some of these comments re agents. what do you think the agents job is? its to get his client as much as he can.

now I happen to think this is a decent signing as it gives us pace down the middle...re what he's getting paid...the question is who do you think was the more desperate to do the deal, the club or Camara? I know where I'd put my money on that bet!!!

We really must be dreaming to name players in 12 positions :D

Er we've just signed a Premiership striker from Stoke and now another striker who won't be on peanuts.
Have you forgotten our re-profiling so quickly?
I hope Killa stays but I struggle to see how these signings won't be funded by more outgoings otherwise why didn't we sign them, or others, earlier.
As for Evans, he simply looks a very poor player and if we can offload before his stock falls to Billy Sharp levels it would be likely to represent good business.

I don't think signing Camara will have anything to do with Killa going in Jan,it's pretty certain he's going to go no matter how many or few players we sign.

As for writing off a 20year old before he's even had a full season with us, well done with your patience.
If you hadn't noticed he does score quite afew for Wales and I believe he will start scoring for us when the team is back to full stregnth.
But having written him off already you probably don't see that.
