Found this recent interview (a few days old) with a Norwich fan and Colin Murray. The first half of the video Murray talks about his life and then in the 2nd half from the 30 minute mark he talks about football and the Championship promotion race.

He says some interesting things to the Norwich fan.

34:00 Murray confirms that he really wants to see both Leeds United and/ or Sheffield United to be promoted. He explains that a giant Yorkshire club needs to be back in the PL, wonder why he never mentioned Sheff Wed?

36:40 A direct quote from Murray “Sheffield United are one hell of a team under Chris Wilder”, then he goes on like he’s Wilder’s number 1 fan. Remember he’s chatting to a NC fan, so no need to show any bias towards us.

Even the Norwich fan says “I think they (Sheff Utd) are the best team in the division from what I’ve seen”

50:10 Murray hopes the 3 teams promoted teams will be Sheffield United, Norwich City and Leeds United because he thinks they all deserve it. He’s worried though that the team that finishes 3rd especially if they miss out on the last day, may struggle to win the play-offs.

He said pretty much the same on Quest a good few weeks back!
I'm sure it was posted on here.

True but that’s in front the camera’s at work, sometimes it’s more interesting listening to his more “off the record” out of work opinions whilst interviewed in the comfort of his own home. He comes across as a very down to earth bloke and a real football fan.

So if you're posh and own a camera, you can have a youtube channel and talk to Colin Murray?

Last weekend on quest, he talked about Beres pork sarnies.

How does he know about them?

He was a presenter on Talksport about 2 years ago before he resigned (on principle in support of the Liverpool fans) when The Sun newspaper took over as owners of the radio station. He said he was watching Wednesday at Hillsboro whilst working for Channel 5 and you now how he likes to interact with the fans.

Well a Wednesday fan told him ‘he hadn’t lived unless he’d tried a pork sandwich from Beres”
So he tried one and was really impressed.

I’m certain he made some jibe on Talksport saying “Them Sheffield Wednesday fans really know their pork”.

He difinitely wants us to get promoted. Guess he had to say Norwich because of the interview and Leeds I’m not sure, must have been for the cameras or perhaps he wants to get on Sky Sports so felt he had to give a bit of love to Leeds. I know fans from many different teams and not one has said they hope Leeds get promoted, in fact, quite the opposite !

Over the last few weeks on 5lives fighting talk, also presented by Colin Murray, he’s not failed to mention United, Wilder or Billy Sharp.

Said it before, but I love that we’re being recognised for being brilliant to watch because we’re playing both entertaining and winning football.

Murray’s explains that he’s always wanted Leeds or Sheffield to be promoted because he believes having the big Yorkshire teams, that he classes as “real football clubs” would be good for the PL. He also explains that he’d love to see a team from Bristol in the top flight too. Basically he wants the big city clubs in the top league, instead of shitty clubs like Bournmouth, Huddersfield, Watford etc.

And he’s right, just looking down the Premier League table is embarrassing !

Are you always as miserable as you come across on here?
If you think a squeaky Irish person who supports Liverpool is worth celebrating because he rates us then thumbs up.

In answer to your question..... I don’t think I am miserable but then again maybe after a long day I am miserable. To be honest I have never been accused of being miserable by friends, family or work colleagues. That is until until 5 minutes ago. Maybe I should keep my miserable opinions to myself and not share them on an opinion based forum incase someone like yourself doesn’t like me having a miserable opinion on an opinion based forum and accuses me of being miserable.

Say what you want on here as long as it doesn't get personal you'll be reight. And I don't think you're miserable. In the great scheme of things the opinions of a Liverpool supporting Irishman count for nowt. But it is a positive for others to see how good the Wilder Blades have become.

If you say that in the voice of ‘Marvin the paranoid android’ from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy it works really well.

I’m in my early 50’s and in that time supporting United I’ve never known any era where opposition fans really rate us.
In fact during our most successful times under Bassett and Warnock the media perception was we were big, strong and difficult to play against because we stop the more superior opposition from playing. This perception is so set that last season the media still thought we were a long ball hoof team. It’s only in recent weeks that the media, pundits and fans up and down the country are realising we’re a really good team playing high quality attacking football. I can’t remember the early 70’s team under Currie so this is a novelty for me.

Colin Murray wants to bum Sheffield United. He sounds like the sort of bloke who would be respectful , use lube and tell us he loves us in the morning......

In all seriousness though , knows his stuff , appreciates good football and talks sense.

Wow fantastic Who the fuck is Colin Murray and why should I give a fuck if he wants us to go up
Now if Trevor Brooking said that I would be all ears

The ears would be useful as he would have something to hang onto whilst fucking a Blade just like in days gone by.

He’s clearly just going for the ‘hipster football journalist’ tag.

Knew I should’ve used that damn winking emoji ;)

I am expecting to see Colin Murray sat on the KOP at this rate.
