When he battled through, kept going and- yes- ultimately gave away a throw in. After putting in the shift he did and then still have that desire and will when we’re 2-0 up, when the games fading and others are tiring? But yeah, he probably could have passed it earlier, so drop him on Friday.

Like, apart from the last comment, although I wouldn`t dismiss it. His brain, passion and workrate haven`t gone, and if his legs have gone, I`ll tell you what, I`ll put up with his 19 goals by the 2nd of February !

I would still say that Freeman at his best is a better player than Baldock at his best, and Freeman was first choice for the initial months on merit. It took Baldock 2 or 3 games to get up to speed, but there’s no doubt it’s Baldock’s shirt for the foreseeable at the minute and today was one of the best games I think he’s played for us – he was very good indeed.

He's a top athlete, he's just been a bit susceptible to injury. We need him to stay fit. Fuck knows what state Freeman's in - we never know. Would be concerning at this point if anything happened to Baldock. And even more so with that machine at LWB.

That was brilliant. We were in that stand. He tried a step over to try and keep control of the ball, and basically miscontrolled it and kicked it out for their throw, but he had a huge grin on his face. He'd tried, he'd really fucking tried, and he knew he'd fucked it up.

He's loving his football and long may it continue.

I would still say that at his best Freeman was a better attacking wing back, much better in fact. He certainly seemed to anticipate Billy's movement better and he consistently put in really good early crosses.

However, Balodock's work rate and pace makes Freeman look positively lethargic. Baldock is also a far superior defender.

At this moment Baldock is the man, and Freeman nowhere to be seem. I suspect [sadly] his time may be up with us and in fairness we will need to strengthen this position soon. Bash is probably seen as the main backup now, with Craney filling in at RCB.

Baldock was mom for me today, even just got his diving header back to the keeper in the 2nd half.

Hitting the first man with his crosses is frustrating, I think sometimes its almost a compliment to him as sides get onto him, sometimes with two men. They have to

However, he could be less predictable. I think he could be smarter and more direct with his runs at times then put his ball in. He could move the ball out of his feet and create the space.

Can't criticise him that much though as he does try different things.

Could be he's losing pace but he makes up for it in nous and effort. Nothing wrong with legs or strength on that first goal running onto Egan long ball and fending off defender

Very unfair on Baldock.

He's having a great season, and based on his form so far, would rightly go into next season 1st choice.
There's a good argument to bring in better cover at both RWB and LWB, to add competition. But I don't think "upgrading" is particularly necessary or fair.

He's not really that good, a good engine and hard to beat but as Freeman showed in our system you don't particularly need to have those attributes (although massively helpful) to offer a great deal from the RWB spot.

He wouldn't of got back in the team if Freeman didn't have 4 bad games in a row. His crossing is utterly painful at this point and gets in so many positions where when we're playing the best teams you can't afford to waste.

Great teammate, attitude and engine but in terms of quality we're going to have to do better to maintain this incredible level of progress.
