Seems a good signing, hopefully we retain Fleck and we’ve done ok this month.

Good signing...Hopefully he gets back to his Brentford form and we've got a really good player...Hopefully Fleck stays and good luck to Leon at Wigan.

I've got them all lined up but need to get on Roy's database on the laptop. Should be at home in about an hour

Hello, Roy.

Bet he was fucking freezing if those photos of him on the pitch in a united shirt were taken this morning.

Interview him somebody! I want to hear him seh summat!

"When I knew Sheffield United were interested it was a no brainer"

or summat like that!

I think it will be a good signing for us. I wasn't too excited about it last summer when it was first mentioned, but the more I've read and heard about this lad the more I think he'll be a good fit. From what I gather, he plays on the shoulder of defenders and is basically a box player, a good finisher like Billy. If he can help us convert just 10% more of all the chances we make, he'll do very well.

I'm thinking more along the lines of

"Well lemme tell yer something Mean Gene.
Steve Bruce better say his prayers and eat his vitamins.
Whatcha gonna do Wednesday
When Hulkamania runs wild on you?!"

We'll see but he seems like an injury prone striker who doesn't like putting in a shift for a team.

''despite scoring both goals in the blades 2-0 win on aggregate vs Middlesboro, Hogan can't play in the playoff final vs Villa''

Good signing this
Not according to Vills fans , i just hope we dont regret letting Leon go !
@JimmyTheBrummie: What a great idea sending Hogan to Sheffield Utd to ruin their playoff chance.
@Kevod91: 10 Goals in 60 games says it all really, injury prone and has never looked particularly threatening up top . Shame because he looked the part when we bought him.

@_AlexCarson: Scott Hogan was one of the worst ever #AVFC signings — not really even because of anything, but because he was bought for a large sum with no regard as to how he’d be utilized.

@PippyPants8: I can only assume we think Hogan is going to c*** up their promotion hopes?

Getting worried :(

I’m not. He’s not a replacement for Leon, that’s Madine. Even if he turns out to be shit we’ve still got Sharp and McGoldrick. If we manage his fitness like we manage the other players, he’ll be fine.

Most Villa fans have conceded that Steve Bruce's tactics were probably to blame for his downturn
Some are worried that this will bite them on the arris

Having said that I'm not sure how he's going to fit into our team
He's too similar to Sharp to play alongside him
And he's totally different to McGoldrick and Madine

At the end of the day we gotta trust our man Chris , he's not done a bad job so far has he , if he pulls a playoff spot or higher then he chosen well .

He made 42 appearances last season for Villa, didn't he? Not too shabby for a crock.

Apologies, I got that wrong. Which makes his total failure to score goals in one of the best teams in the league all the more worrying.

Yeah but what does Jimmy the brummie think ?

You could say the same about Billy Sharp during his second spell with us . He's not turned out too badly though now he's playing in a better side with a manager who doesn't try to ' shoehorn ' him into a position that's not his .
